  1. I totally agree tdyballgame. This advice is often given to Highlands for some reason. This group of seniors are 37-1 and have a ton of respect for Elder and quite honestly are honored to play there. The "don't take them lightly comment" I assure is not going to be a problem for this coming Friday.
  2. Question I have is has there ever been a Mr. KY Football without a Division 1 offer? I think Brady is a top 5 guy.
  3. Oh goodness this was pretty funny stuff I thought. All three players mentioned are very good!
  4. I would not sell Elder short. They're a very good football team even though their record doesn't show it. Highlands will be given all it can absolutely handle with Elder.
  5. I would have thought the same thing lottoman, but Holmes's 25-7 win over Harrison County doesn't lead me to believe it's gonna happen.
  6. I now rank the KHSAA right up there with the NCAA. Shouldn't the results of the state playoffs last year have been a clue? What ya do about it if you’re the commissioner of the KHSAA. 1. Grab a dart. 1. Put on blindfolds. 2. Throw it. Result: Wherever it lands will be far better than the current system.
  7. It's hard enough picking varsity games. I'm sure it will be a good one. But I agree with Clyde, hard to pick without knowing more.
  8. NCC was asked to play this year by Highlands and the answer was no. That's the reality of it. I will say that NCC athletics overall is exciting to watch and they're winners. They got a lot out of their athletes.
  9. Everyone has advantages one way or another. Imagine if Towles had another year of high school football left.
  10. We may revisit this one day.
  11. I don't really buy that the Highlands D was gassed. The offensive line of Covington Catholic is big and most of all good. They did a better job against Highlands than Trinity's offensive line. With that said I think in order to beat Highlands the Cov. Cath. offense is going to have to be able to strike more quickly. Should be a fun Friday night in November. I'm sure both teams will come ready to play. At the end of the game after the teams had gone in I saw Towles giving a Cov. Cath. player and a couple of the Cov. Cath. crazies big bear hugs. It kinda puts things in prospective. As a Highlands fan I think most were getting tired of blowouts. After a game like this "Blowouts really ain’t so bad." :thumb:
  12. Good old Boyle. It's amazing that Boyle will lose more games this year than Highlands has lost in the last 5 years combined. Good luck to Boyle on Friday.
  13. Qryche11 if you saw Lex. Cath. play you would change your opinion.
  14. Cov Cath would beat Lex Cath by 30.
  15. No Whackem it really wasn't. It was gut check time. When the preverbal you know what was hit the fan the better team sucked hit up and won. The difference in Covington Catholic and Highlands this year is that if Highlands has the ball in the same position that Covington Catholic was in today Highlands scores. Anybody that says any different is delusional. You should be the most amazed of all my friend. Highlands came into, according to you, the Cameron Indoor Arena of high school football and came away with a victory.
  16. Eaten Crow Rule: You gotta hang a L on somebody.
  17. Wow once again it's a "Highlands Almost got Beat Thread."
  18. Well you won't be playing in it anyway.
  19. Recent weather forcast indicate partly sunny skies and anywhere from a 10 to 20% chance of a shower and it looks that if there is a shower it wouldn't be around till 3:00pm. The weather conditions tomorrow should not be a factor.
  20. I guess it's tough to spark a lot of banter when the voting is 115 to 27.
  21. Glad to see you're a Justice Scalia fan Clyde.:thumb:
