Shut down the team that is, not too many have been successful at keeping these two from getting points.

If Villa can find some production out of players other than Bryan and Schue I think they can be dangerous. Both players are very tough but defenses can key on them and shut them down. The other kids need to step up in order for Villa to be able to knock off Dayton.

I praise him for his hard work and wish him luck at the next level. I question coach Bezhold sometimes in his recruiting but I am glad to see him sign a local kid. There are more out there coach! Good luck Brady.

They are already 0-1 in the district with a loss to Holmes. They have a big district matchup with CovCath on Friday. I think both teams (Beechwood and CovCath) can beat Holy Cross this year which would avoid a #4 seed and potential matchup with Holmes.

Region alignments are a whole different ballgame! You have three high schools in Kenton County Public, all three are in different Regions. (Dixie 9th, Scott 10th, Simon 8th)

Wrong region. Silver Grove is in the 10th. But Pelle would be on this list if her were in the 9th.

I agree, I think St. Henry will run away with this one. Just too much talent and experience for the Juggs.

I think this will be an interesting game to watch. As one poster said Beechwood has struggled with Villa a bit the past few years. They are one of the DIII schools who have given them a game. I am sure Villa will be out to prove something tonight against Beechwood. I think Beechwood has more depth but can they be as explosive on offense?

I saw Deming play in the Lloyd tournament and those twins are really tough ballplayers. I was impressed with their offensive game. They get to the rim and finish as good as I have seen. I agree with you though, if they played defense they would be really tough to beat.

I can't argue that he appears to complain about calls, but the kids does get abused out there because of his style of play. He is a very aggressive slasher. But I agree with you when I see him play he appears to be complaining about no calls, my experience with those kids is they get less calls. The kid is talented though. Dixie will roll in this one, they name the score.

This game is to be played Monday at Villa. Any thoughts? This is a big DIII matchup. Can the Tigers stop Bryan and Schue? I think the Blue Lightning will be out to prove something during this game. Beechwood's run of two years undefeated in the conference could come to an end.

Winning cures everything! Like I said I did not see them play prior to this tournament but I was impressed with their defense, they are really physical and got a lot of teams frustrated and out of their game.

One thing I noticed about Campbell while watching them play in the Lloyd tournament was how aggressive they were defensively. They really extend their defense out and put a lot of pressure on the opposition. Good defense can help, they seemed to get a little more balanced scoring. I did not see them play prior to this tournament but I understand that Jolly did most of their scoring. Jolly continued to thrive but they were getting some points from other kids.

This was a back and forth game the whole time. Both teams just kept swinging. Fangman iced the game in the end going 10 for 10 at the free throw line. Pohlgeers and Fangman led the scoring attack while Nick Hall led the team with a solid defensive effort in the second half. Nice win for the Beechies. After a tough loss in the first round to Campbell Co. they rebound to go 3-1 for the tournament.

I remember reading the same stuff last year at this time about Holmes.

They did last year, lost in their first game to Beechwod.

I have been saying since the summer to watch out for Newport, they have a lot of talent this year. Nice win for them.
