Madison Central 65 Holmes 61 (OT)

As I see it, the horn was sounded on first shot. The re-do was the next shot (the replacement of the first shot) . He missed. He hit the 2nd shot. Nothing was gained by the re-do. The official erroneously sounded the horn causing the stoppage in play (in this case, his shot), so why should the player not be given his earned free throw without interference ? -

Guess you see what you want to see. From where I sat, if you looked at Bolden, he got fouled. -

Show me a post that said that Central would blow them out and I'll show you 20 that said it's going to be a heck of a game and could go either way. -

In one of the coldest shooting days for Dominique I've ever watched, he still outscored Bolden. Again I'll say Bolden is a nice player, but you're all wrong on Hawkins. His Senior leadership took over and won the game.If he "Ain't that good" how is he a D! recruit and a Mr. Basketball candidate and in the Final 4 of the State tournament ? -

He missed the re-do anyway, so mute point. -
Should be a heck of a game. Won't be surprised of the outcome either way. Obviously I'm going with my Indians. Hawkins and Bolden are both very good players, don't understand all of the arguing and bickering about who's best. Honestly, being outside of the 9th Region I've never heard of Bolden until last week. Doesn't mean he isn't good, just never heard of him. Good Luck to both tomorrow !

Have been watching Dominique for over 4 years, when he began playing limited minutes with the Indians his 8th grade year. It was evident that he was a special player even then. He was my projection as this years Mr. Basketball during his Freshman year. -

One game ? You ever watch Ky High School basketball ? Dominique is a Mr. Basketball finalist. As for who is recruiting him ? WKU, Morehead, Murray St., Alabama, Tennessee, Louisville, and a local school in Lexington who is the current defending National Champion. I watched Bolden today. He looks like a nice player, but not sure where you're getting your info about Hawkins. -

Would like to see the stat line when they played each other. So it's apples to apples. -

Only 1st graders will fit between the lines painted on the bleacher seats. Still there's no way 1800 were empty. Sounds like some of the math they use in Washington these days !:idunno: Great game. There's definitely been 2 different HC teams on the floor this year, but there was no doubt which one we would get last night! Not looking forward to facing Green, Grundy again year though! Congrats to HC. -

Hawkins really has no weak areas to his game. If he was 6'3"(even though he jumps like he is) he could go play anywhere. -

Yeah, he's not ready yet ! We had him about a week before that game and he called an over and back foul and the ball hadn't gotten to mid court yet. The player was probably 6 feet away from the line ! Everybody laughed all night about that one. People were yelling "over and back" all night when he got anywhere close to the bleachers. Funny. -

Dominique Hawkins = Darius Miller?
One of The Tribe replied to Triple_Threat's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
That is in a nutshell. Dominique gets the job done ! He can drive, shoot, free throws almost automatic, solid D, rarely fouls, and and when they need a bucket, he finds a way. Great kid too. You'll never see him strut around and celebrate, he makes a play and gets back to the other end ready. No way I'd let him get away. UK needs somebody like Dominique. What he gives up in size he makes up for in ability. He jumps like he's 6'5" !
