Just a great game. Athletes all over the floor playing above the rim. Probably a couple hundred people had to stand because it was so packed. Hawkins was great and Jordan Green showed he is going to be a huge force next season.

Just got in from this game. So good to meet you D-Rob. Also good to sit and talk with Triple Threat. Great ball game and close like I thought it would be. The turning point in game was when Hawkins picked off a lazy pass by HC and went up for the score. Then hit his FT down the stretch. HC has so much returning next year. Should be one of the top teams in the state.

I hope that Hawkins and the MC kids take the whole cake.

Hawkins with the running, 3-point buzzer beater...and he was fouled:

apparently, we had WWE refs at the game tonight

That crowd is incredible.

That crowd is incredible.

I didn't see an empty seat anywhere but Mike Fields reported this:

@MikeFieldsNotes

Boys 11th: EKU's McBrayer Arena, which holds 5,800, looks packed, but officials still estimating somewhere over 4,000 fans.

I'm not sure a magician could've goten 1,800 more folks in that arena.

Only 1st graders will fit between the lines painted on the bleacher seats. Still there's no way 1800 were empty. Sounds like some of the math they use in Washington these days !:idunno:

Great game. There's definitely been 2 different HC teams on the floor this year, but there was no doubt which one we would get last night! Not looking forward to facing Green, Grundy again year though! Congrats to HC.

RICHMOND — There is no panic in Madison Central.

When the going gets dicey and dire, the No. 3 Indians don't sweat it. They man-up and find a way to win.

They did it again in the 11th Region semifinals, rallying from a 56-52 deficit to beat Henry Clay 60-56 in front of a full house at Eastern Kentucky University's McBrayer Arena on Friday night.

Senior guards Dominique Hawkins and Ken-Jah Bosley combined to score the Indians' last 13 points.

Hawkins, who had 24 points, converted a three-point play to cut Henry Clay's lead to 56-55 with 1:36 left.

Then it was Bosley's turn.

He picked off a Henry Clay pass and got a run-out layup to put his team ahead 57-56.

"They kept holding the ball so I knew I had to get a steal. They threw a lazy pass and I was ready for it," said Bosley, who had 18 points.

Henry Clay had a chance to retake the lead, but Trey Grundy missed two free throws with 34 seconds left.

Hawkins made the Devils pay by cashing two foul shots to give Madison Central a 59-56 lead.
