Rainman11 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Was 32-29 Central at half. Only stats I for at this point was Central's Quan Taylor had 24 rebounds. Henry Clay was 19-35 at line. Madison Central solidifies fact they are team to beat in 11th Region.
One of The Tribe Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Henry Clay is a very good team and fun to watch, but too much "Indians" in the 2nd half. Very, very poorly officiated game as well.
PurplePride92 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 @MikeFieldsNotes: No. 6 Madison Central beats No. 4 Henry Clay 78-63. Dominque Hawkins 28 pts, Quan Taylor 14 pts, 23 rebs for winners.
sixofusinky Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Trinity up next for Central also. Friday night at Trinity.
Equipment Change Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Madison Central has got to be the 11th region favorite
nikeman49 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Clear cut favorite indeed....nobody close right now...

JokersWild24 Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I still think the 11th is open, but one thing to like about Central is the fact that they probably won't be seriously challenged in district play, and will likely go into the regional tourney as the winner of their district. Definitely a big deal, even though that could mean they end up playing a really tough team the first game. There'll be some quality teams like Henry Clay, Scott County, Bryan Station, Lafayette, Lexington Catholic, Dunbar that will be left out of the region based on the district alignment. Some of those teams will also be going into the regional as a loser, so I'd want to see the draw shake out before feeling more comfortable with picking them, but they do have a lot going for them. I will say that I really, really like their chances if they draw in the same side of the regional bracket with the winner of the Woodford Co./Frankfort-area district, which would mean that the Lexington area district's winners were in a bracket with one another, and are probably going to be in a war in the semis. Another similar scenario would be their drawing the loser of the Woodford Co./Frankfort-area district and having a relatively easy first round game and being fresher in the semis against a team who'd had a tougher first round game. In summary, I think that still too many variables out there for me to feel confident in saying they will come out of the 11th, but right now, I like their chances better than anyone else's.
