On senior night last week, Lexy Breen scored her 1,000th point for the lady Breds. She is averaging 11.7 points per game and has made more 3 pointers than 2 pointers this season. The amazing young lady has lettered in 3 sports (volleyball, basketball and softball) every season including her freshman year. She has also won the "Thoroughbred" award 7 times. And if you think she excels on the sports scene, she is also a Governors scholar. Truly a gifted individual. Great kid from a great family! Congrats Lexy!!

I’m in Memphis this weekend watching Jr. Play. One of the twins, Tom, lives in town. I reached out to him and he came over to watch Jr. Play. His older brother Gary played at CBU. I asked Tom about the court and he said he first heard about it the other day from a friend. He called Dave and asked him how much he owed him LOL

Allen was all he was billed to be. I figured he would take over the game when Brossart got it close and he did. Very smooth player. His supporting cast is very good too. Lots of tools. I know coach Belcher appreciates the senior on the squad and he mentioned it on his way out. Draw tomorrow could be interesting for them.

It seems he always plays when Brossart has a big time battle so I didn't get to see much of the game. Bucs ended up with a win 99-88. Another day at the office for TAC junior. 8 points (on 3-5 shooting) 10 rebounds 2 assists, 2 steals and a blocked shot. He needs to learn how to shoot a free throw (1-4). missed 2 down the stretch. While BBHS had a lot more fouls on them I did not have an issue with the refs for the most part. The big call of the night was a phantom charge call on Brossart on a made bucket. Should have 2 plus the foul shot. Instead it went the other way, Code was asking for an explanation and the ref turned around and came back to him and T'd him up. P county shoots foul shots and hit a bucket on that possession. 6-7 point swing.

Whats going on down at WKU right now for Ohmer? On games prior to Christmas he was averaging over 24 minutes a game and 9.8 PPG. The next 7 games he averages 11 minutes and 2.5 PPG Last game he gets his first start of the season and scores 12 points in 21 minutes. I know a couple kids became eligible at the break, but low numbers for 7 games, and ends up with a start??? Was the coach sending a message? anyone with some scoop?

Interesting tid bit I'd like to add. Elder HS has 2 kids that have eclipsed 1,000 points in the history of the school. I found that rather shocking.
