Any word on how 10th region teams faired in scrimmages?

I feel this is a bit unfair. This is his first year there and there will be an adjustment period. Scrimmages are just that, scrimmages. He may have been working different lineups just to see what would happen and what worked. I was not at the game so I can't comment from a position of authority but seems it may be premature to jump on them after one scrimmage.

GRC vs. Pendleton County in the opening round will be one the 10th region pays attention to for sure. Will Jay Johnson be back for Woodford County?

Building a program is more than wins in losses in a lot of ways. If PC can keep him around, he will build a program. I agree in winning the district is a LONG LONG ways away.

I agree with that. This is a coach who does things the right way and if PC can keep him he will definitely build a program.

PC coaching staff keeps them playing hard as well. Some high character kids wearing the red and black. This will all pay off at some point.

Don't the smaller schools have the All A? So why not seed? I do not understand how the draw is fair, really. It has been debated on here for ages though.

Seeding seems like the only fair way but I'm just a fan! That will be a tense draw.

Armageddon on the basketball court if Pendleton and Harrison draw each other in first round of district. The draw may keep a good team out of region. Brossart is VERY underrated. They will be a force for the next few years.

Word has it that former Cat's Mason O'Hara, Jon Elrod, Keaton Belcher (Key player's from the last region title winner from Pendleton Co in 05) along with a few other's from past team's have been running pick up games once a week against current players. If true sounds like a great experience, and a solid tradition from past to present being built in Falmouth.

Back to Pendleton County, any word on how their open gym's have been? Or what their depth off the bench will look like?

The Harrison County/Pendleton County rivalry definitely took off last year with the ridiculous PC comeback ended by that three by Antrobus. It would be a shame to not see both of those teams in region this season. I'm sure Harrison County will be looking to take the 38th crown from the Cats who have went back to back.

How will Pendleton County respond to people having high expectations of them? No flying under the radar this year. That will be interesting to see!

Give this job to Michael Miller. He has been at Beechwood for years. He was also apart of Buddy Biggs coaching staff at Pendleton while they were very, very successful from 2004-2006. He was a huge part of the 2005 PC team that made it to the state tourney. He has a great basketball mind and knows how to win...... no brainer IMO at this point in the game.

Any word who looked good at the Pendleton County Team Camp yesterday?

WOW what a finish. One of the best, if not the best state championship games. This game may have made up for the rest of the tournament (thought it was one of the worst up til today). Anthony Hickey made a great play in finding the open teammate when Rowan converged on him. Anyone know his final stats for the tournament? Going into the final I believe he had 73 pts, 23 steals, 18 rebounds and 12 assists. What a remarkable 4 days for this young man!

Glad to at least see pictures rather than reading about Mason Co. - Clark Co. This was about Clark Co. and Pendleton Co. Can we get back to the game? Michael Walsh played phenomenal D in these 3 games. He guarded Omar Prewitt, Treg Setty, and Vinny Zollo. Zollo did some nice things in the game, but Walsh held him to 5 points. By the way he is only 6'2" and that may be stretching it. Also, Aaron Bonar did a great job on Rogers holding him to 10 points. Would you believe this kid has only played 2 yrs of organized basketball? I can't imagine how good he would be if he had been playing since he was a little tot. Great run Pendleton!
