What does Mason County need to do to improve in 2011/2012? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

Work, work, work. They'll be young, but energetic. Coach Akin seems to have them fired up.

Who did they lose from last year's team?

Who did they lose from last year's team?

Katelyn Smith transferred somewhere else. (I forget, somewhere near Somerset.) Alicia Moore and Bailey Menke quit. All are seniors and starters last year. Smith was the leading scorer. Point guard McKenzie Butler (sophomore) and guard Courtney Moran (senior) are the returning starters. Moran will be the only senior on the team.

The have a lot of girls in the 5' 9" range but no one taller.

I knew about Smith. Had heard about Moore & Menke, but it hadn't been verified. Hate to hear that, because both young lades were solid players.

Thanks for the info! :thumb:

Katelyn Smith transferred to Perry County Central.

Things must not be good if you quit your senior year!

So Moore and Menke won't return their Sr. year? Maybe they will reconsider.

Meneke won't reconsider, she won't be playing.

Neither one are participating in pre-season conditioning. None of the players expect either to come back.

Mason County has brought in former St. Patrick Lady Saints coach Jerry Ormes. This is a great hire and will add a little more fire with that St. Pat, Mason Co. rival.

Why did these players quit?

So will Ormes be an assiatant?

That's what my daughter, who is on the team, believes.

Have heard that Bailey Menke WILL be suiting up this season and has rejoined the team. If indeed true, what does this do for Lady Royals in the upcoming season?
