  1. I knew you were going to say that! Oh well, it should be a good ole good one, as Keith Jackson used to say.
  2. Who is better up front is a great question. BW struggled running the football in their 4A-6A portion of the schedule with the exception being Franklin County and Holmes, not that they ran over Franklin County, that would be a lie, they did run the ball effectively enough to keep the defense honest. Once they hit their 1A portion of the schedule the run game has come around quite nicely, not where it needs to be mind you, but improvement has been shown every week. The defensive line for BW has really improved the past 5-6 weeks, they are settled in and doing a good job of stopping the run and putting pressure on the qb. If it is wet and sloppy I look for the game to be in the 21-17 range, obvioulsy I'm rooting for BW, but this will be a close game, just hope I can stay dry while watching it!
  3. You need to wake up, you are dreaming if you think Collins is more athletic than Butler
  4. Glad the Washington kid took a few snaps vs. Bellevue, hope he is closer to full strength against BW. I agree that BW will be the favorite due to the past, but IMO this game is going to be very close.
  5. I sure like this team to take it all in 6A this year, they are scary good.
  6. IMO it is going to be a heck of a game, as VOR wrote, BW has yet to play a complete game, they were awful sluggish coming out of the gate against Paris and cant afford to do that against a very talented Frankfort team. I thought I read that Frankfort had a few kids banged up, are they going to be able to go against BW?
  7. Again, SK 12-0, Conner 8-4, Barker and Kuntz are both 1/22nd of the equation as to why they win or loose. This isnt boxing or tennis, this is still a team game.
  8. When BW middle school played Bracken County in the middle school championship game Bracken was well represented by their fans, and their middle school team had at least 35 kids, some of them pretty darn big, I hope that the tide turns at Bracken County, I think they have a chance to be a solid program, but the community is going to have to get behind them.
  9. IMO this is going to be a nightmare for the scoreboard operator! I look for a ton of points in this game, wouldn't surprise me in the least if both teams crack the half century mark. The only thing that doesn't favor Bellevue is the fact that most, if not all of their kids go both ways. Will be a heck of a fun game to watch....if you don't like defense that is.
  10. I think the Tigers roll in this one, but if they are starting to look ahead to Frankfort the young men from Paris could make this an interesting night, BW is not yet mature enough to overlook an opponent.
  11. IMO SK wins 17-14, going to be a great game, as another poster said I would be shocked if it was a blowout either way. Sorry I cant make the game, but will be following the updates.
  12. Obviously had it not been for a fumble on a punt return Dixie could have one the first matchup in Indy, not sure Dixie is balanced enough to beat SK, but it will be a close game IMO.
  13. I agree, 10 hours in a bus for this....the more I think about our playoff system, the more I scratch my head.
  14. I give props to the Bracken County kids, they did play hard the entire game, they were just outmatched. With that said I agree that the system needs to be revamped, no doubt in my mind BW lost money hosting the game last night. I thought I only counted 18 Bracken County fans in the stands, but I will defer to OSD who said he counted 31.
  15. I saw Pracht the other day, he is every bit of 6'2" and that boy can jump out of the gym. Love his game.
  16. Butler by a bunch, from an outsiders prospective Ryle is a mess.
  17. Blocked punt for a TD was the turning point in this game IMO. Seemed as though the BW players went from jubilation to UH OH in a millisecond, took them a solid quarter to respond. Youth is a wonderful thing, as long as you don't need it to win tough games. BW is still finding their identity, but they better not take to long looking for it, Frankfort is the real deal, and if they make it that far they are going to be in a hostile environment and face plenty of adversity against a very talented Frankfort team. Lot of growing up to do in the next couple of weeks if they are going to be considered a legitimate contender this year.
  18. Back in the 70's all the state championship games were at commonwealth, I was there to watch Lloyd beat Shelby county in 76. Of course there were only 4 classes back in the day.
  19. Nice effort by the JV Tigers on a cold and miserable day, to windy to toss the ball around. The Tiger defense looked great, put a lot of pressure on the Breds QB.
  20. One thing is for sure, NewCath will be tough, physical and well coached. I think it is going to be a heck of a game, probably decided by a TD or less.
  21. Great coaching staff, I'm not sure anyone makes better halftime adjustments.
  22. Congrats to SK on their outstanding season.
  23. Sam Burchell (spelling) left off this squad on defense.....that is a disgrace.
  24. I am going to drive it tomorrow and check, but I'm pretty sure the right side of the road is Kenton County, the folks in Cherry Hill subdivision all go to Dixie...and that subdivision surrounds St. Henry.
