It is once again that time. For the fourth consecutive season and sixth of the last seven years, Beechwood and Frankfort will meet in the 1A regional finals. Once again Beechwood travels to Frankfort. Due to redistricting changes over the years, Frankfort has been the home team in every one of these 6 games except last year. What do think will happen in 2013?

I don't believe Beechwood has played a solid all around game yet this year. It always seems that there are mistakes made here or there. Youth and experience play a role in that but these guys now have a full season and 2 playoff games under their belts. It is time to put together a complete game. They are going to need it to get the win over a determined Frankfort team who has little doubt they are going to win this game. Frankfort had just as much confidence last year and the Tigers rose to the challenge. It is time for this Tigers team to do the same.

Thanks for digging this info up but I'm pretty sure the 2007 game was a semi-final match-up. Winner went to the State Championship. The following year it switched to regional match-up and the reason BW had to travel to Frankfort in back to back years.

IMO it is going to be a heck of a game, as VOR wrote, BW has yet to play a complete game, they were awful sluggish coming out of the gate against Paris and cant afford to do that against a very talented Frankfort team. I thought I read that Frankfort had a few kids banged up, are they going to be able to go against BW?

Their starting RB was thought to have a broken foot but that was wrong. I think he played versus Bellevue. I am just pulling that info from threads on here.

Frankfort has had a few kids out. Washington was thought to have had a broken foot. He played very little last week against Bellevue. (I would guess about 10 snaps.

 

BW IMO is heavy favorite. Until the Panthers beat BW they will always be the favorite.

Frankfort being at home helps but Beechwood is should play well. Frankfort did a good job on the Bellevue offense but Beechwood offense is a whole different story so they will have to step it up again against a deeper Beechwood team. I don't think Frankfort wants to get into a shootout and try to outscore Beechwood so a game in the 20s would be something they could live with.

BW by 3 scores and hopefully gives them some momentum going into an obviously tough semi final.

Glad the Washington kid took a few snaps vs. Bellevue, hope he is closer to full strength against BW. I agree that BW will be the favorite due to the past, but IMO this game is going to be very close.

Frankfort over the last 4 matchups has been in striking distance at half time.
