Everyone keeps saying "he was playing the Pirates!" Thats true, they are basically another AAA team. However, I am so impressed with his K:BB ratio. 14 K's and 0 BB. In a MLB debut, with ALL the hype Strasburg was receiving, and not give up a walk, that is very impressive.

I thought the last few possessions for the Celtics were horrendous. The first starting when they were losing 84-80 (I think was the score) and they draw up a play for Ray Allen (who hasn't made a shot all night) to shoot a 3. This is with a minute or so left. Of course, he missed, Lakers fast break, Derek Fisher, and 1. Big Baby and KG were playing so good at this point, why not work it down low to them, try to get a layup or at worst a trip to the FT line. Then, shortly thereafter (now down 7 points), they do an Oop (if you can even call it that) to KG. NOW they want to work it down low? I just didn't understand what they were doing. Say what you want about the refs, they were awful both ways. Horrible no-calls, and even worse calls.

Same here, I've been a Red Sox fan since 1996. Hardly bandwagon after all the stuff the Red Sox have been through. Oh well, to each their own I guess...

Boston came out pretty flat in the second half and when they finally decided to play, it was too little too late. The foul trouble killed Boston with Allen being on the bench for the majority of the game. Also, I've never seen KG play so bad in a 5 minute span than the last 5 minutes of this game. One bright spot, Nate Robinson looked pretty good off the bench. I know Rondo is their guy, but it's nice to know that they can get Rondo a breather while still putting a solid guy out there. I expect the Celtics to come back with vengeance in Game 2.

So you would rather have a game go 4-5 hours? There are many "close calls" in baseball where managers would argue. It happens constantly.

Junior was great for the game. I remember when I was like 10 and watching the home run derby when he would turn his hat backwards. He was just fun to watch, and sadly, I don't think baseball will have another like Junior, he was one of a kind...

In no way does this change my opinion on instant replay in baseball. The human element is part of the game, and sure, sometimes there are mishaps and bad calls, but it is part of the game, and has been for over 100 years. Was it a horrible call? Yes... Should Joyce be punished? Absolutely not. Like MJ said, it is his job, how many times have you messed up at your work? I feel bad for Gallaraga, but life goes on and maybe he will get close to a perfect game again in his career...

I guess that is the benefit of being the "GM" of two teams :lol:
