  1. I have to agree with qryche11 100% - Real Classy Bpiccola. Unfortunately you don't get it and probrably never will. I would assume based on your post you've never coached nor played the game to think it "amazing" to make it to the region. Whether it be by the luck of the draw, seeding, being the underdog or talent. Best of Luck to all of the remaining teams.
  2. Great game by the Lady Tigers! Played with heart and gave it their all till the very end. Keep it up ladies !!!
  3. jb25 - your post really doesn't even deserve a reply. But in Coach Eckstein defense I will say this. You will never EVER find a better teacher, coach, administrator, role model, and genuine good man than Dave Eckstein. The Bellevue Community and Bellevue Schools and especially the Bellevue students are so lucky and fortunate that Coach is not at Ryle and we were lucky enough to have him as a part of our family. You don't get it !!! But good try.
  4. Absolutely he should protect his kids !! There are many ways he could of protected his kids that didn't involve having to be seperated and held back from his two assistant coaches in the middle of a high school gym with a room full of students and parents. What would of happen if his coaches wouldn't of held him back?? Attack the referee's or the player ?? That's classy!!
  5. Are you serious? Has the right to blow up? Did we both see the same game? It doesn't matter what happened on that court and I'm not at all defending the Bellevue player for his actions. Bottom line - Dilts is the head coach and the "adult" here and should be leading by example.
  6. I'm with you on this papa, there's something about the Bellevue/Dayton game and always will be. Throw the records out the window - Dayton will be ready to play - Bellevue will still take the paddle home - but don't take them lightly boys - Bring your A game !!
  7. Goaheadandjump - It's obvious by your post that you believe you have some first hand knowlege of working directly with Nick Wilson. IMO it is very unprofessional to use this knowlege in this manner. Hopefully you are no longer a part of this district. I don't believe you do care about whats best for studets in this district but have some past issue with Nick. Leave it in the past. I agree with you on one thing and that is the Bellevue's Boys Basketball Program is in need of pick me up. There is great tradition in Bellevue Basketball and it needs to come back. Change is never easy. If Nick applies for the position and is found to be the best candidate then he deserves the support. Let's stop the name calling.
  8. I understand that there was great effort by both teams. Any details?
  9. Then I'm guessing your source is someone that is in practices everyday (coach or player) You must have the inside track. Hopefully they have a strong finish for the season. Best of Luck to the Lady Tigers
  10. From what I'm hearing 4 of the top 7 players didn't start JV last year. As stated previously this is definitely a rebuilding year for the lady tigers.
  11. Since you don't know first hand are you saying that their not getting coached in practice either?
  12. Did it occur to you that role of the assistant coach is to do what the head coach asks? Much of the assistants role is behind the scenes on a day to day basis, working with and developing talent.
  13. Living the Dream it's unfortunate that you find it necessary to state that Newport, SG & Beechwood are 3 of the worst teams in the 9th region to get your point across. None the less IMO the coaching change has made a huge impact on the program - to the BETTER! Ask any coach(experienced or not)with any program your trying to rebuild it takes time, talant and hard work. As far as the coaching experience of the assistant that concerns you. I believe she is new to the program and played at BHS under the great Sally Meng. Everyone has to starts somewhere. With Coach Sorrell & Coach Kafel's coaching experience I think that Bellevue Lady Tigers are in the best hands possible. Stay turned-Great things happening at BHS.:dancingpa
  14. Not sure who your referring to regarding "Coach has relied on her and she now needsr" but theres a new coaching staff at Bellevue. Also, since basketball is not classed why would Bellevue want to seed in the district? With that being said they have an All A Classic but there are A and AA schools in this now. Regarding the Beechwood game and the point spread. Looks like the coach tries to get playing time for the entire bench since they are so inexperienced. If you were there Bellevue was up by 22 in the 4th quarter. As far as the average margin of loss of 36, its just not Bellevue, other teams playing Highlands or NCC have lost by the same amount. ie-Cambell County, Holy Cross, Brossart - check out box scores. Have you actually been out yet to see Bellevue play?
  15. Did you happen to think this could be a rebuilding year for Bellevue? They had 2 varsity starters out injured. They were senior heavy last year which leaves the girls playing this year inexperienced. Are you out here just to demoralize the kids? Don't think thats the intent of BGP's.
  16. Both teams are young and both have some talent. New coaches, new philosophies. Lots to learn for both teams but both teams seem to be adjusting well. It seemed to be a nice reunion for the Coach Vories & Coach Sorrell, even some of last year's assistants showed up for support. Good Luck to both teams!
  17. Have you watched them practice or play yet this season?? It shouldn't be that surprising.
  18. Bellevue - 35 Ludlow - 6 First home game, Tigers are on a roll and everone is healthy and injury free. Go Tigers!!
  19. Congrats to the entire Coaching staff and the Tiger Team. Thanks for bringing home that big "W" and for the fight song. Awesome Job! All of that summer conditioning paid off.
  20. Roster at the Newport game was incorrect. There are about 17 seniors.
  21. Yes the Tigers have quite a few seniors this year.
  22. You defiinitely need to come off the hill and take a look at what your missing out on. Buckler is all football all day long.
  23. I'm with ya Grizzly - Cheer, Cheer for ol Bellevue High!!!::dancingpa
