Go Vote for the Reds in the All Star Game!!
Rockstar replied to stpatbaseball's topic in Major League Baseball (MLB)
Don't be upset. The Cincinnati Reds just don't have that big of a fan base, and the fans they have don't have enough interest to put in time for the team. Look at Great American Ballpark for instance. The team is in first place and can't get a packed house. Just the way it goes sometimes.... -

Also, another factor that I feel is important with the Pujols/Votto debate is the amount of intentional walks Pujols has already received this season. He has been intentionally walked 15 times through 47 games. -

Votto has been superb this season. He probably should receive a solid amount of votes. Will he? Doubtful. Pujols will be the starting 1B in the All-Star game for as long as his career lasts... -

Who deserves to be a starter for the all star team? Just wondering, because I don't see anyone deserving of that honor... -
As much as I dislike Artest, it was a great heads up play to win the game. However, I was pretty nerved out while watching his interview after the game. I know 12 year olds who understand the importance of using a shot clock. Just admit you were wrong, be a man, and move on. Don't make up excuses, which is what he did. That irritated me a bit. Looking forward to game 6 nonetheless.

Congratulations to both teams on advancing to the 9th Region Tournament. Great job Coach Sanders and the Bellevue Tigers on being champions of the 36th District!

I practically tripped and fell into David Stern.... As for Andersen, I say he ends up in Boston, but thats just me. I think Babbit could be a steal too. -

Golden State is glad to take Derrick Favors at the 6 spot. -
Yes. He came in with 2 outs. I'm not sure if the bases were cleared or if it was after Buckler got the double. However, he did give up the hits to Huff and Piper.

What a great game down in Bellevue Vets today as the Bellevue Tigers advance to the 36th District Championship. Bellevue was leading 4-3 in the top of the 7th when Highlands was able to score 2 runs to take the lead 5-4. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th, Ricky Buckler hit a double. This was followed by an infield base hit by Dylan Huff. Alex Hegge was then intentionally walked. Up came Tony Piper to bat, who cracked a line drive to center field to bring home 2 runs and the victory. Great game by both sides. Congrats Bellevue!

Bellevue / Highlands Predictions 5/26
Rockstar replied to Rockstar's topic in KY Baseball (High School)
I think you hit the nail on the head with this statement. For Bellevue, it all comes down to defense IMO. If they have good defense behind whoever pitches, then it could be an exciting one at the Vets... -
Bellevue and Highlands play today for a trip to the championship where Newport awaits the winner. Who are you all taking in this one?

LeBron James Free Agency Thread
Rockstar replied to Bengals>Steelers's topic in National Basketball Association (NBA)
Which seems to be the problem with the Cleveland FO, they can't get any help for LeBron. I could understand where LeBron doesn't want to hurt the franchise. Maybe he will request a sign and trade, so Cleveland will atleast get something for his exit... -

Is there anyway I can get a team? Since some people have like 3 and 4 lol -
In my opinion, the finale was perfect. It brought all the characterization into a full cycle and we got to see our favorite characters one more time. If you were looking for a finale where all the questions would be answered, then I could see where it would be fairly disappointing, but in some cases, sometimes it is best to leave questions unanswered. I really love how the show all began with Jack opening his eyes while lying on the island, and it ended with him closing his eyes in just about the same spot, with everyone's favorite dog, Vincent, by his side. I understand that a lot of people say that everything on the island actually happened, especially considering what Christian said about people dying at different times. However, what is everyone's reaction to the crash scene that was shown during the credits? It seems alot like the original plane crash in the Pilot, minus all of the hectic people running around.

The new coach will be here by the end of the day to meet and greet the new players and faculty.
-
BTW...I heard the DUDEABIDES will have completed his scientific study of the sea lions in Antartica and should return by the start of football season. His motivation will definitely help the Tigers this season.

In the wake of this tragedy does anyone know of Ludlow will still be coaching the All-Star game?
-
From the Bellevue football family our thoughts and prayers go out to the Ludlow community. This is a very tragic loss for the Panthers. Jordan was a great competitor and a great coach. Sorry for your loss!

As a former Dayton player too (mid '90's), I thought Ridder was a great coach and motivationl guy. Which game did he speak at? Did his talk help?
