  1. I've always been against Interleague play. I like how, back in the day, the only time AL teams saw NL teams were in the All Star Game and World Series... It makes the AL vs NL a bigger deal IMO...
  2. How about MJ? Didnt he say in his HOF speech that he may make a comeback :sssh:
  3. I thought it was 5, assuming Wade and Bosh both sign. Wade, Bosh, Mario Chalmers, Joel Anthony, and Michael Beasley?
  4. I always pulled for the Bill Simmons idea of a reality show, much like The Bachelor which featured LeBron and the 30 NBA GMs. Each show, he would eliminate 10 GMs or so, until only two remained, and on the finale, he would sign the contract. Gotta love The SportsGuy
  5. I actually hope he goes to the Nets over anyone, I just don't see it happening, I really don't have an explanation why, just a hunch.
  6. I think this means LeBron goes to New York or Chicago, unless the Cavs can pull of a trade for Chris Paul (which I don't think will happen)
  7. I've heard rumors that it was JJ Hickson, Anderson Varajeo, Delonte West, and maybe even Anthony Parker... Not sure how true that is though
  8. Could they possibly make a run at Paul Pierce? I don't know if I really like that fit, but I guess it is possible...
  9. That's what I've been hearing as well. Chris Bosh said on twitter that he is about to meet with Miami though.
  10. The Bulls as well. If Lebron decides to stay in Cleveland, who will Chicago go after? I'm pretty sure there Plan B was Joe Johnson
  11. I wanted to see him in a Clipper uniform... Oh well
  12. It's the NBA though, the MLE is worth more than Darko's deal... You have to take it all into consideration....
  13. I still don't think Darko is that bad of a player. Is he better than Melo, Wade, Bosh? Absolutely not, but if you look him as just the player he is, and not the #2 overall pick in the 2003 draft, then he's really not terrible. In other news, looks like Rudy Gay is on the verge of resigning with Memphis...
  14. Another name flying under the radar is Josh Childress. He has played in Greece the past couple seasons and it is rumored that he will return to the NBA this season. I could see him being a solid player next season
  15. If Joe Johnson stays in Atlanta, does this mean the Knicks may strike out this offseason? That would be unreal...
  16. In my opinion, this season will be a great one for the Clippers. They have cap space to sign a big-time SF. If they are able to get someone like Rudy Gay, they would have a starting five of Davis/EGordon/Gay/Griffin/Kaman, with Bledsoe, Aminu, Jordan, etc coming off the bench. I think Bledsoe has a great opportunity to make a big name for himself in LA.
  17. I agree with the signing of LeBron and Bosh. What if they used Deng in a S&T for Bosh, thus opening up a bit more money. Could they go after a SG like Ray Allen? You know Allen wants to play a few more years, and he will want to go to a team that will contend. Rose Allen James Bosh Noah That is one sick lineup...
  18. Agreed! I think the one factor that hurts Kobe the most is he tried to be like Jordan so much, or atleast that is how it seems. I know it was pointed out before on this debate that Kobe imulates MJ, but I mean come on, holding up the 5 fingers while standing on the scorers table, that is original! The great thing about MJ is he was himself, he didn't try to be like anyone else, nor did he try to compare himself to others. He was Michael Jordan. IMO, it seems like Kobe wants so badly to be compared to MJ (and better than), which unfortunately, he will never be able to achieve IMO.
  19. I'm with you here. Just because your favorite team is successful does not mean you are a banwagon jumper. Very irritating...
  20. Yeah, probably, but what are the odds that prospects don't pan out? Back in the day, the Red Sox traded a young prospect for a rental. His name was Jeff Bagwell. The Expos traded 3 prospects for a rental on Bartolo Colon. Those prospects were named Cliff Lee, Grady Sizemore, and Brandon Phillips. I'm not saying Cliff Lee isn't worth a deal, but the Reds starting pitching is not the problem, and should not be their first priority in making a move.
  21. Okay so who would you trade? Just wondering... Mariners are not going to give him away for free, especially with the Yankees, Red Sox, etc probably inquiring about Lee as well
