The speed of the game changes every year. The game is so much faster than it was 20 years ago. Now days, 250-300lb. lineman can run with the backs! It is amazing. Seems you can't compete in todays game without speed. Teams with strength and speed combined are the winners. I don't think size is as important as it used to be.

I agree 5W. And they are usually labeled "He's a Holdback" which causes them to loose some of their attention as great players because they are older than the others and are expected to be better.

I had not seen either team until tonight. Since our season was over I thought this would be a good one. It was a GREAT football game. Merrick backed up all of the talk and I thought he was the difference in the game, accounting for 8 points (I believe). Man, what a weapon he is! That KC defense was also very impressive. This thread brings back my COLD experiences. 8-12 year old kids playing little league football in Wyandotte Michigan. I recall 20 degree highs with wind and snow off of the lake. We used to wear panty hose and sweatshirts under our gear. ............The cold should have no effect this Friday on the hosses, but will be hard for guys that are in and out. I'll have on the huntin' gear. No problem. :thumb:
