That's what we thought last week vs Hazard. :scared:

I was impressed with Pineville's spirit at Corbin before their scrimmage with Leslie earlier this year. They have won some nice games this year and put up a lot of points. No score prediction, but I believe this will be a dogfight. Could go either way. Simply put, it will boil down to who wants it the most. Should be one of the best games in the mountains this Friday.

I also expected a much closer game. The nasty weather and poor field conditions did not slow Hazard. Nor did the 1 hour lightning delay. Hazard has a good kicker. He kept Harlan on their side of the 50 most of the night. I only remember Harlan inside of the Hazard 50 1 time. Hazard's QB picked the Harlan DB's apart with ease. Hazard's OL & DL were also tougher than I expected. I'm not sure about Harlan's total offense numbers because I am to frustrated to read the paper. I would be suprised if Harlan generated 100 yards of total offense. :irked: Harlan best wake up because Pineville will be ready for them this Friday.

Of those fair weather fans, most of them are clueless as to what is going on out on the field. It is a social gathering for them. I guess a dollar made is better than one lost.

Big district game for both teams. Hazard is most likely the favorite in this one. The game is at Harlan and the Dragons are on a nice two game winning streak. I believe Harlan will again have success running the football. Harlan will have to play assignment football on defense and must contain Hazard's speed to win. Probably not. Which is why I said not all of the time...... Some only go one way. My point is, have the best on the field when the game is un-decided, even special teams. Get the youngsters experience with a comfortable lead.

No, Carr is okay. I think they were getting the freshman some reps. Not sure about the timing of that in a close game...... The freshman will be a dandy in the future. He is talented and very poised for a young man.

:irked:Hard to understand how we (Harlan) can run the length of the field, probably 70 yards, and score in 2 minutes before the half and generate absolutely NO offense in the 1st, 3rd and 4th quarters. Our running game was absent with the exception of that one drive. I thought the LC linebackers played well. Of course, when our offense is one dimensional, its not to hard to stop.:irked: Our fumble for a LC score was a crucial play in this game. Congratulations to LC. They were ready for this game and Harlan was flat.:irked: Not sure I understand the personnel we have on the field at any given time. :irked:If you have 13 seniors, eleven should be on the field most of the time. Sounds reasonable. But, you have the scores backwards. Harlan must improve confidence and expect to win when they take the field. Not only this Friday night, but every Friday night. I'm not sure this team really knows how to win. They've had a tough couple of years. They are capable of winning any Friday night this year. Seems we don't win the close ones and I believe this will be a close one. Confidence and poise come with experience. WAKE UP DRAGONS! COME TOGETHER AND GET IT DONE! :ylsuper:

Harlan will have to rebound following a tough, emotional loss @ Allen Central (including myself). Officiating was VERY tough to swallow over there. Aside from that, it was a good HS football game. We will learn about Harlan's depth and mental toughness this coming Friday. I believe this game will be similar, a physical dogfight to the end. 24 - 20 Harlan

Tradition, strength and coaching goes to bell in this one for a 35 - 13 win. Although, I would love to see Whitley win this one.
