Very Telling About Kentucky High School Football
I have coached in both Kentucky and in Georgia, the talent level difference is night and day. Both in quality and quantity. Take trinity to georgia and put them in any of the 8 regions (regions are like districts in Ga.) in Georgias large class and they would not make the playoffs in in 6 of the 8 regions. That tells you a lot about the difference in the two states. It is a totally different game in Ga.

Defense Wins games Lexington
Easy to say when you have the best talent in the Ky/Ind area. No disrespect to Trinity, but you all play by a different set of rules thn the rest of the team in Ky other than St. X.

Revisiting the "running clock" rule
Make it 30 points in the 4th qtr. or if the trailing team wants to invoke it at the start of the 2nd half if his team is down by an insurmountable margin.

"The Fumble"
This is not a "chop" block. This is not illegal. The defender makes first contact with the offensive player against the upper body. In order for it to be "an illegal block below the waist", contact has to be initiated against at body part below the waist (the legs). Contact in this case as you can see is against the offensive players chest and forearm.

Class 6A Playoff Pairings
How dumb is it to have 6 classes? The districts and regions are spread out way too far. Boone Co. @ McCracken Co. That will be a huge gate. I'm sure Boone will take a ton of people to the game. That is a 300 mile trip, ONE WAY, for a first round, not third or fourth round game.

Trent Steelman Army
Thomas Wilson - Meade County, Zach Hester - Boyle County are also in this game. Congrats to all of these young, especially Trent Steelman.

Is Coach Arvin being forced out at Grant County?
The admin does not need to answer parents until there is an answer to give. There are too many"parents" that are entitled and feel that they have the right to be on the inside of every decision that goes on in a school. The teachers and administrators are paid by the state government not directly from individual "tax payers". If that was the case, then there would not be enough time in the day for teachers/school workers to do their job. With that being said, it sounds like to me that the GCHS admin team is a joke.

Is Coach Arvin being forced out at Grant County?
If, and I say if, he wasn't "doing his job in the classroom" then that is where strong leadership from your admin team steps in to help the individual make improvements. You don't fire someone before their first year is over. If he was that bad, then the guy who hired him should be fired for being incompetent in the hiring process. I know David Arvin and he is a fine teacher. He taught at one of the most prestigious public schools in Ga. and had great reviews by his administrators. This whole thing just stinks. You just don't put someone and their family out on their butt after one year. Grant County is obviously a horrible place to work right now. New leadership is needed.

SPED.

Is Coach Arvin being forced out at Grant County?
If this is true, this is total wrong. I know David Arvin. He is a good person, good teacher, good coach and a great husband and father. Grant Co. admin should be ashamed. I have worked with and coached with David. He is an outstanding teacher and coach. He will land on his feet and be stronger in the future.

Madisonville-North Hopkins Coach
Don't know if he applied at Apollo or not, but I don know that he and Paul Bates (the previous coach that was let go) played college ball together and are very good friends.

Four classes could return.
5 is too many also. 6 is way too many. 4 is perfect for Kentucky. Maybe 4+ a "super class" ( the 16 biggest schools in KY.).
