Spring practice quickly approaching.....not soon enough
I'm sure I will never get an accurate answer but of the 26 seniors how many were in 8th grade at Highlands? How many were in 6th grade at Highlands?

Is Trinity...aka The "Schedule"
This is an awesome schedule, but isn't this who Trinity should be playing. Over 200 boys play football. Private school. Best team in Kentucky. St. X Ohio only team ranked in USA top 100 and they didnt win state championship, lost 5 games. 2 teams out of Tennesssee didnt win a state championship Did any team on the schedule win 1? Hopefully these are teams T will beat because if they don't it's not going to look good on KY football.

Is the All-A Classic really an All-A tournament any more?
I think the term "All A" was taken from class 1A football. I understand a line has to be drawn but if 1 school has less than 100 boys and another has more than 300 it seems to defeat the purpose. I think take the smallest 64, divide them into 16 4 team regions and lets play.

Should Districts be Seeded?
Checked enrollment figures and SV had 329 boys. I'm not sure what cut off is. 123 schools participating in ALL A. Thats got to be at least close to 45% of the schools. As far as when seeding started time does pass. I don't remember hearing anything about seeding in the 70's 80's.

Should Districts be Seeded?
350 boys,.. When you consider a school like Williamsburg had 99 boys and Pinevile Barbourville approx 100. I also think districts should seed. When did seeding begin in districts. Several, many years ago I don't think any districts seeded.
-
Should Districts be Seeded?
SV was the largest team in the ALL A. Approx 350 boys. I consider small schools 200 or less boys. The ALL A has 123 schools in it.

Should Districts be Seeded?
When did seeding districts begin and what districts started it.

Should Districts be Seeded?
1918 Lexington won the Sweet 16. Was it the Sweet 16 then? 1960 Flaget, 1970 Male, 1982 Laurel Co. When did 64 districts, 16 regions begin. I CAN'T remember any teams in SEKY seeding in the 70's and 80's. When and what districts started seeding first?

Should Districts be Seeded?
I got no problem with seeding. I wish they would divide into 2 classes. Still have sweet 16 with 8 from each class. 4 games Wednesday, 4 Thursday, 4 Friday and 2 Championships Saturday. Won't ever happen but makes some sence.

Should Districts be Seeded?
Exactly, from what you were TOLD.

Should Districts be Seeded?
Actually Coach Haynes wanted to only have to play each district opponent 1 time insted of 2. This was his protest and reason for forfeiting.

A five-class proposal ...
Actually in California you are put in open division. I believe it can change from year to year based on record and rankings. So if it happened in Ky they would take the top 8-16 teams and put in open division. If that had happened in Ky this year what would have been the top 8 seeded 1-8? Let the speculation begin.

As good as Highlands & Trinity!
I think they should play 2 times a year with X added in. That would be 4 great games with great gate a year. Add district games, out of state game and bottem feed off rest of state.

As good as Highlands & Trinity!
Where would you get these 200 more students? Would they be basketball, cheerleaders, band, academic team, regular students. Highlands has an EXCELLENT school BUT they are a MAGNET football school and they win with a few great players and many good players...........

A five-class proposal ...
I agree. But give me 13 picks you take 8 and I'll take my chances, especially when my picks come from all of Jefferson County and yours come from a specific area in most cases.
