Player fouled on shot-ref calls it -ref #2 calls tec on other end of floor on coach-ref#3 lines em up for tec shots- permits player to shoot that was not in game at time of tec call ! player shoots 2, ball is given to other team and put in play !! Original player fouled was never given the freethrows awarded !! When ref was questioned two possessions later he replied : foul was on floor before shot . QUICK THINKIN REF!! with 3 refs on floor there is no excuse for that. They made a total mess out of that one.

Based on their previous games it looks like Lexington Christian has played some really good teams...and I would go with LC by 13 !

Tiger cracked his driver in the practice round last week and had to use a backup. He said he uses a head that has a little thicker face. Club head speed makes it goo ! I couldn't crack mine with a hammer , but I like to try different shaft - head- combinations . Ever now and then you may find one that you can get another 5 or 10 yd.s out of. The shaft has a ton to do with how you hit it, so a particular brand may work for you, and be a dog for someone else.

Solid win for Floyd ! Hard to beat a team that shoots 50%.......8 for 16 from the 3 point line. Big test coming............ELLIOT !

I must have missed those two.......but most of the county showed up, so two is not really that bad !! But on a more positive note : both teams had a bunch of JV players. It's nice to see schools with that many kids involved !

Tomcats stayed close in the first half , cut it to 5 in the third , but it was over shortly after that. Elliot will be very hard to beat in the district.......and 16th for that matter. Enjoyed watching Elliot play. Very nice YOUNG team!!:thumb:

Girls are most often not going to be as strong as boys, but to gain an advantage on D.. I have noticed an awful lot of hand checking and reaching in and arm slaping in the girls games that go uncalled . When you are handling the ball in open court those things should be called. They ARE used simply to gain an advantage. It may be a little tougher to call in the paint where there are more players at times, but I say make the call in open court !( MY PET PEEVE)
