Can this team go to state and do well?

Will they have to play Lincoln to get to state ? They may get by them, but I don't see them beating LCA JMO !

I think it will be a good game against LCA, I maybe wrong but Casey County has out scored teams by 16 points this year. Only lose was to Central Hardin on a second game, on DEC 22. Which was by 12 points and foul shots added to that at the end of the game. Casey is lead by an 8th grader, that may be the only thing that could go wrong.

Casey could be lucky to get out of their district. Thats what they need to be worrying about right now, not the sweet 16. Lincoln would love to play them again.

They have not played and they are not in the same district.

I know that they are not in the same district and we have played before, just not this year. I am just saying that your road out of the district is not set in stone. By the way, KYHOOPS what are the district games for you guys anyway?

Casey lost its 2nd game of the year to LCA. Early in the 1st half Casey was up by 14 points but could not hold on to the lead. Lost by 8 points in a very good game. LCA has to really good players in #5 and #10, that came up big late in the game for them.

You need to tell all the story KYHOOP. Look at the box score after the first quarter. It appears that Christian took it easy in the 4th quarter after rolling on Casey in the second and third quarter. This is from the Lexington Hearld:

■ No. 7 Lexington Christian’s

full-court pressure caused 18

turnovers and the host Eagles defeated

No. 18 Casey County 65-57.

LCA’s starters were benched for

the first quarter, and Casey

jumped out to an 18-4 lead. Junior

forward Clara Mitchell scored 24

points and the rest of LCA’s

starters responded for the victory.

LEXINGTON CHRISTIAN 65, CASEY CO. 57

CASEY CO. (20-2) — McFarland 14, T. Weddle 3,

Pittman 13, Wesley 3, K. Weddle 2, Coffman 5, Hatter 17.

LEXINGTON CHRISTIAN (20-5) — Thornton 5,

Martin 7, Barnett 13, Cox 2, Clifton 14, Mitchell 24.

Casey Co. . . . . . . . . .18 8 12 19—57

Lexington Christian . . .4 24 24 13—65

Casey was up 14-2 when the starts got bench in the 1st. They was bench with about 3 mintures left in the 1st. That is why the starters was bench, so that is the facts. If you was there you would know that. Did it say about the Casey coach getting T'ed up? Guess not, that was 5 points there.

I was not there, but I did read the paper. Also what happened the 2nd and 3rd quarters? From the box score it looks like the second team from LCA played alot in the 4th quarter. The game was never in question after the starters for LCA kicked it in. Im not putting Casey down, but I think the last game of the season is going to be a good one, dont you?

The starters got benched a minute into the game per an LCA fan. I cannot guess the score at the time but the fan did not make it out to seem that it was 14-2 when they got sat down. Perhaps it was or wasn't, i don't know, im just telling you what I was told from another person at the game last night after the game.
