Officially 15 for Beatle in Q2. Hackworth had 11 first half for brossart.

Holmes up 30-19 at half. Beatle sat first quarter due to disciplinary issue from last game. He probably had 13-15 in the second quarter. Holmes press is causing significant problems for brossart.

I think this would be a close game if Dixie were at full strength, but think they will struggle with the Camels' depth tonight. I think it will still be closer than some think. Camels by 7.

A game I thought would be a blowout. Brossart is a little better than I thought, and Newport not quite as good.

Snapp looks like a player. Shot is off so far tonight though. 31-24 Newport at half.

This was incredible.

I'm not being antagonistic, but I have seen NCC twice this year, and I don't see them being awash with talent. I think their two bigs and their point guard are top-notch. Maybe the best 1-2-3 punch in NKY and beyond. The other two starters were just so-so. The bench appears to be a significant weakness. Not sure if they have players still at football or not, but if not, the bench will be their downfall when they play more talented teams. They have no depth whatsoever. That said, Pangallo, McDonald, and Weyer are good enough to carry them past most, if not all teams in NKY. Very skilled and play well together. I was also VERY impressed with the JV point guard. Is that a Pangallo?

NewCath looks much more energized so far in second half

Neither team looking particularly impressive IMO. Maybe some first game jitters.

It would be hard to pick anybody over NewCath this year. Granted they are not that deep (from what I have seen) - but the starting 5 is tops in NKY. Their two bigs will be difficult to stop for any opponent. I am looking forward to watching them as the year progresses, and think they will win the 9th.

Errors are a significant factor for cc this year.

Bourbon has looked like the best team in the region. Campbell County the worst. From the games I have seen, all teams look pretty weak outside of Bourbon.

I've been to two Dixie games and they definitely look solid. Conner I have seen once, and was completely unimpressed. Although camp co is 3-5, they were one of Dixie's opponents I watched. They did not look that far off Dixie. But they are way away from deserving a first place vote. Beechwood is the most impressive to me.

I had no doubt that you were the "I told you so" type. Thanks for making me right. Great game by Scott County and better game by Gilbert. He is incredible. Scott County deserved the win. They were the better team tonight!!!

I didn't say nobody else could win it. It would just surprise me if Trinity didn't based on their collective performances to date. Of course anybody can be beat....it's possible but not probable.

I agree emphatically with "hell no". This is an awesome event the way it is. Great memories are created when a small school or an underdog does well. Remember Elliot County? What a great story and one my kids will remember forever.
