The Deming junior went down with an apparent knee injury on the opening play of the game tonight against Bourbon County. This is her third knee injury in as many seasons. Please keep her in your prayers for a speedy recovery.

How did a Campbell County player that graduated in 1982 make the 10th Region HOF? Campbell was a 9th region team then. Shouldn't he be in the 9th HOF if they have one instead of the 10th?

Just curious how the 16 teams are handling the week off leading up to the tournament. Did any have a day or two off or have they continued to practice the entire time? Just wondering how the coaches handle the situation. If anyone know I would be interested in hearing about it.

Not trying to sound arrogant or demeaning in anyway shape or form. The 10th should not have to take a back seat to anyone when it comes to the tournament (Nor should the 9th). That's the whole reason why I am not in favor of one site hosting two regions. It should be the individual regions time to shine.

Looks like the 10th will get the primetime game in 2013 the next time the 37th gets to determine the site of the tournament.

Sadly Mike Case's life was taken in a auto accident sometime in the 90's. Pat Moore passed away I believe in May of 2002. Two young lives taken way too early.

Anyone notice in the 5th picture down in the bleachers under the basket? It's Coach Feldhaus and Feldhaus Jr. the man that started the Royal Dynasty and Jr. a member of that first State Tournament team. Pretty cool!

With a format like the one proposed, could you imagine the politics involved? Even rumors of schools paying of the individuals who run the ratings system? The controversy would be never ending. If you want to be number one you have to beat the best. So what makes the difference if you beat the better team in the first round or in the Championship? You have to do it sooner or later.

Does anyone have information on this 5th region game?

When was the last time Newport made the Sweet 16? I know it has been a longtime coming.

Congrats to Newport. What a difference a week makes. Get beat in your district finals by 25 and turn around the next week and become Region Champs in a blowout over the defending State Champs. WOW!!!

How many regional championships does this make for the Lady Cards?

I am pretty sure that both the boys and girls 10th Region tournaments do not have an all-tournament team. Pretty sure there has not been an all-tournament team on either side for over 20 years or longer. Instead they have 1st and Honorable-Mention on the boys side that honors body of work for the entire season. The girls have a 1st, 2nd, and Honorable-Mention for the season.

Seemed like through the 1980's and 90's that it was either Boyd Co., Ashland, or Greenup Co. (excluding Rowan Countys 3peat in the late 8o's). making the yearly trek to the Sweet 16. Since Ashland's trip to Rupp in 2002 none of the three have been there. My questions for all the 16th trivia buffs. Is this the longest drought for the three schools? This will be the 8th season without one of the three going.

Is the Stenzil kid from Clark County the grandson of Alan Bane and the nephew of Tollesboro legend Joe Bane?
