Scott had the lead late in the 4th Quarter, but emotions get the best of Scott and they fall.

Question - Was O'Conner's technical legit? I'd think it would have to be pretty over the top to warrant a T at that stage of the game.

I was at the game was was very impressed by the gutsy play of Scott. They just would not go away! Neither team could hit their shots, but they both kept fighting and made it a very physical battle. I think the refs kind of took control of this game with a lot of fouls on both teams. I wish they would of let them play a little more but I was also very impressed with Scott's pg #3. He was simply the best player on the floor, no questions about it. When he ripped Stenzel at the three point line and then tried to get the loose ball that was later picked up by Stenzel, and he passed to Rogers for the 3 really summed up the game. That was a very tough break, and then the tech on O'Connor ended the game. To GRC credit they took Scott's best shots and advanced but I can't tell you how impressed I was with #3. He deserved that preseason ranking that he got from the Catspause!

The technical was legit, OConnors emotions got the best of him but the trailing official called it where it was Branscum in which OConnor was sceaming at . Doesn't make a difference who calls it, definitely was a game changer. Another game changer was Daniels three when trailing by 1.

I agree, that one in the Bracken game was too quick.

No way the technical was legit on O'Connor! Zollo was all over his back and ref called O'Connor's fifth foul. Ref 40 feet away called the tech. At that point of the game the refs should show restraint and let the players decide the oucome.

 

O'Connor held Zollo to 3 pts 1st half and caused all GRC's inside guys alter shots and travel on the block. Huge defensive effort by O'Connor! Kept them in the entire game. A lot of fustration by him on the final foul. His teammates should have kept him away from the ref as well.

Terrible game by the Cards. They better play better Monday if they want to win the region. On the refs, bad calls both ways. I was told that 2 of tonights refs were the same ones that blew the call in the Franklin Co and Henry Clay game.

 

Survive and advance, it was ugly, but a win is a win.

It was a very tough game!! Kudos to Scott for a great game plan and defense. I agree that the three by Daniels and the technical was a game changer!! Clark played arguably their worst game of the season, but good teams find ways to win!! Hope to see a great crowd from Clark on Monday night!!

Whistle should have been swallowed unless it was a profanity situation. If that's the case, I cannot side with the player. But, to show some frustration in that situation is normal and very poor judgment by the ref if it was just venting frustration at such a pivotal point in the game. Too bad. Scott surprised me. I only saw them vs. Boone and saw no way they could hang with GRC but they did.

When a player says the F word to a ref it's a technical. Why he can't control his emotions in a REGIONAL game is a question to me. A selfish way to cause a loss and a terrible call on O'Connor's part. Sad way to end Scott's season.

I was behind the bench and all O'Connor said was 'Are you serious'. O'Connor is a great kid and was just very fustrated. First tech in his entire career at Scott. Refs were horrible and they should understand the emotions in a very tense game. How can a ref 40 feet away hear or make that call!

The refs here at the boys 10th Region Tourney are TERRIBLE! For two games, I have seen very poor calls and quick Technicals. First, I saw Persinger get a technical and it was the first thing he said all night (2 minutes into the game), then I sat there and watched bad calls (both ways) in this game. Foul on O'Conner was awful, then after making this call, they T him up to make it DOUBLE bad against Scott and cost them the game! Very hard to watch. No way, in the regional tourney especially, officials should decide the outcome of the game or make a coach sit the entire game unless it is something MAJOR! These guys have no business calling a regional game and doing this to these teams that have worked so hard all year. Very sad. I was so upset after watching this game, I went thru a drive-thru and came home. I can't go back to the 2nd game, spend $7 bucks, and watch that stuff. :idunno::ohbrother::puke:

Knew it would be a close game. They always hang with us come tourney time. Why I hate to play them in the regional tourney. One of these days they will beat us.
