Carson is the real deal. I haven't seen a lot of players throughout the state other than some tournaments and the state tournament, but if there's a better Soph in the state, I'd like to see him. Carson can do it all and has one of the best spin moves that I've seen in years.

Dickie - it's a no brainer.

The teacher should have been more proactive in his/her scheduling and not have scheduled a field trip during the 3 day period of the Sweet 16. Bad planning on his/her part.

And with the current rules, "A" schools can participate in their tournament and post season. Don't be talking out of both sides of your mouth. You are getting quite annoying and really showing your back side. Are you telling us that you have never been given another opportunity in your "real life"? We all have, opportunities arise quite often and to be successful, you make the most of them. I bet you even told your players who were runner-up, "we get another chance". But based on your "only the strong survive" philosophy, you should have told them, "we are not worthy of playing in the regional because we are losers".

I don't think any of the remaining teams will be able to handle Etown.

Your right, the big task is too much for some of these small schools and the All A tourney provides them an opportunity to experience some success. What's wrong with that? Life is about taking advantage of your opportunities and growing as an individual. This tournament provides that opportunity. That doesn't make anyone soft or have a sense of entitlement. This tournament is not teaching the kids the wrong thing. It's teaching them that even though they may not be able to defeat the Goliath's, with hard work and dedication they can still succeed. It's obvious you have no clue about how important this tournament is for the little guys but I do and so do all of those who have had the pleasure of watching their kids participate in it. Get over it, sorry the Birds don't have this opportunity. Maybe you and some others can come up with something similar to meet your needs. Your bashing of this tournament is getting quite comical.

It's a great tournament and great for the All A schools. If you don't like it, to bad. I'm sure there's something else that you can complain about!!

I think the 8th region is down this year compared to the past few years. I still think Collins is the team to beat.

Congrats to the Braves. However, there is no real reward for winning the district since the two top teams (Collins and South) both lost. The draw could be very tough for the opening round.
