  1. Congrats to Blake Bryan for setting the school record for points. Pretty impressive when you consider he is only a Junior. David Schuh has been doing a great job playing Robin to Blake's Batman.
  2. Conner seems to struggle on the road, but I do like the way Avery has been playing. I still think the Eagles do what it takes defensively. Scott by 7.
  3. I agree. I have not seen Lloyd play since their Christmas tournament but it is obvious that they have improved. That being said, good win for Brossart. I didn't expect this many points from either team.
  4. I was suprised by the outcome in this one with the Indians playing on their home flood. Beechwood had big men in foul trouble very early, yet were able to overcome it with their outside shot. Holy Cross did a nice job of controling the tempo of the game. I was suprised to see Giwa having success in the post. You don't see that a whole lot from a 5' 9" players. The press seemed to trip Beechwood up at the end of the game. i would be interested to see if Holy Cross uses the press the entire game if they play in Districts.
  5. I hope it's still on. While I think Brossart's defense will lead them to victory, Lloyd's hot shooting will keep them in it. I'll take the Mustangs 51-41.
  6. I'll take Holmes by 27. After the Scott game, the Bulldogs will come out ready to play. Dixie does not have anyone who can match up with the Johnson brothers.
  7. I find it hard to believe that Beechwood could stop the quickness of Giwa and the shooting of Trimpe both. Egan has been putting up solid numbers lately as well. If the game is at Beechwood, I would take the Tigers, but its not. Therefore, I see a 48-45 Indian victory.

  9. I believe I saw that FOX 19 is showing the games live on TV, or at least the Holmes game and one more.
  10. Covington Catholic not even receiving a vote. How the mighty have fallen.
  11. I disagree, or atleast not at the games I've been to. I like Boone Co.'s student section. They do a pretty good job of staying in the game and seem to know what is going on. :ylsuper:
  12. 9th region, I would go with 1. Riley- Holmes 2. Buettell- Beechwood 3. Gabbard- Boone Co. 4. Pangalo- NCC I'm sure I may have missed a couple but those are the top 4 off the top of my head. Blake Bryan for Villa Madonna plays a lot of point but IMO he is more of a shooting guard.
  13. I agree with Holmes, but not with Boone. I feel Boone would benefit more with a slow pace. They can work it inside to Earls, or let Gabbard run set plays. They have many talented role players and could improve some defensively. Players like Cotton and McFarland may play better in an untempo system, but I think their offense is working just fine. Holmes oozes talent. I agree that an uptempo system would allow for more points. However, Henley is a heck of a coach who knows his kids well. I can't argue with a coach who has his team ranked #1 in the state.
  14. I believe you may be misunderstanding the presale tickets. The sale is open to anyone, not just Beechwood students/fans. However, they are selling them at Beechwood.
  15. If I'm not mistaken, didn't Romes attend Covington Catholic? I attended the game last year and remember him sitting out. I'd assume he is bringing his "A" game against his old buddies. Where do you get the presale tickets from at Beechwood?
  16. I think people may have overhyped Hunter Jones a little bit. Not the kids fault, but I think more people, including myself, thought he would make more of an impact.
  17. 7-Scott County 5-Boyle County 3-East Jessamine 2-Henry Clay 1-Model TB-Boyle Co.
  18. Politics, Politics, Politics
  19. Extremely tough shoes to fill but it seems like a good fit.
  20. Boone looks to be coming together. When the big 3 (McFarland, Gabbard, and Earls) all play well, they are a tough team to beat.
  21. After the loss to Lloyd, I'll go with Conner by 14. I was very impressed when I saw Conner play Covington Catholic earlier this season. Avery is very impressive, and the tall kid changes a lot of shots inside.
  22. Says 17 in the paper. He got some minutes last year and seems to be developing nicely. Who is Fangman? Saw he had 6 points. Also, is Snyder not seeing many minutes or just not scoring a lot of points? Flannigan is a heck of a player for CC. Like Bryan from Villa, he does not have a whole lot of talent around him.
  23. LOL, looks like my rankings last all of 3 hours before they became out of date.
  24. Simply too much talent, Bulldogs by 27.
