  1. I believe that is the night Pittman had the reverse dunk under the basket on the 6'6 kid or so... looked like stackhouse.
  2. The only time I can remember teams playing 4 times in a season in NKY, was when the DIII schools who shared a district (Bellevue, Dayton) (Villa, Beechwood a few years ago) played twice for DIII reasons, once in the All "A", and then again in the districts.
  3. Sanchez, Cutler, Rodgers, Manning(s), Ryan, Flacco, Bradoford, Ben all the kids in college...... Who knows. One or two will be busts, one or two may get hurt, one is a parking ticket away from a league ban..... this is a very subjective thread.
  4. Brian Kelly... the next coach to go .500 at Notre Dame.
  5. Hasn't the knock on Dixie always been their lack of conditioning at the beginning of the season?
  6. Id go with the no Scott County Players, no Sewell excuse. I'm not saying they win both, but it certainly would have helped.
  7. I could be wrong, but I think Coach Mullins son will be the point guard next year. I know he is young, but very talented.
  8. Sewell gets handed a spot on the team without trying out, and he responds by getting booted off? Hopefully he learns from this situation and excells at Miami. Great showing by the KY boys. Glad to see Watts play so well.
  9. Indiana won by 3, not sure on the final score
  10. The camp is set up so that kids at the high school level play three games a day. There are stations in the morning as sanctioned by the NCAA and there are various academic, recruiting and wellness seminars throughout the week and daily practices that are 30 minutes long...also per NCAA requirements. They play in the morning, afternoon and at night. Pretty sure they play as many as the NCAA will let them play. The talent level is WAY down compared to what it was 15/20 years ago..AAU and other competitors have a lot to do with that. I will say this...if your kid is relatively young and you go every year and keep putting money in his pocket...if he's any good at all he will end up on the camp all star team at some point. He does send that out to lots of schools.
  11. While I wouldn't call it a high level job, certainly many in Northern Kentucky would be interested. There is nowhere to go but up. Great facilities and talent should slowly be coming in. Sullivan has done a great job building the program from scratch. If he were to get the Holmes job, the next coach would be benefiting from his hard work.
  12. I could very well be wrong, but that basket does not appear to me, to be 10 feet. Then again, he could be some athletic freak. If so, Kentucky is in trouble. :isurrender:
  13. I was told Polson did not gave a very good try out. For those who say the team is decided before tryouts, you might need to reconsider those feelings.
  14. Scott county boys are not there. Don't know why. Sewell is out with an injury.
  15. While Foster had a great 9th region tournament, I don't see him making the team. While he played well in the championship, he was 3-33 in the two previous games againt Holmes. Great player, but not Kentucky-Indiana great.
  16. Close at half, but CC uses depth and quickness to win by 15 in this opening round game. Then again, I said they would lose to Ryle in the first round of region.
  17. I may be wrong, but didn't he try to get the Highlands job last year?
  18. I could be wrong, but I believe the player did not stand due to religious reasons. That whole topic probably deserves it's own thread in the "general discussion" section
  19. Well, if everyone else is doing it.....I'm in
  20. This game should be a classic. The role players may be the ones who have the final say. While Geisler and Pangallo will do their thing, can the rest of the bunch stay hot from the outside? As for Boone, they must pound the ball inside. They can use their size to get Geisler in foul trouble, or dominate at the power forward sport, where NCC is not as big.
  21. I am anxious to see if Holmes can speed the game up, or if Dixie slows it down to a half court game. Hatton seems to get a lot of his points in transition so if the pace is slowed, he may have to find another way. Oh, and Ricardo Johnson will probably be guarding him. Pike is going to have to step up huge on the boards, and Dixie will need about 7 3's in order to upset Holmes, in my opinion.
  22. I really don't think Newport has enough left in the tank. I understand Ryle is not very deep either, but their style of ball is completely different than Newport. Those legs get pretty heavy as the season goes on. I look for Ryle to pick Newport apart with their half court offense. I'll take Ryle 53-44.
