  1. To me Highlands seems to be the team flying under the radar. They have been playing great basketball and should have no problem competing with the likes of Covington Catholic and Holmes. I'm willing to even say we have not seen Highlands at their best which is scary.
  2. Dayton is young and will improve as the season rolls on. I think the Bellevue game is a great example of things to come from the young devils.
  3. Does Louisville have an arena football team? Or will he be playing for the Horseman in the future?
  4. Our offense in the first half came off their missed shots. When they started hitting 3's, our offense shut down. Not a good sign.
  5. I just keep shaking my head everytime I hear about the kid. What if.....What if.......
  6. This will be an interesting game. Dayton had a nice looking box score the other night against Ludlow. I am curious to see what Rick Shumate brings to the table for the tigers. Also, Micheal Romes makes his debut with Beechwood. I'll take the Tigers by 15, but expect to see the score reversed in a couple years when the young devil team gets a little more experience.
  7. I would think the lane will be open for NCC. I would have a player with no help responsibilities with a hand in Connor's face all night.
  8. Awesome job. Not to diminish what he did, but for a national record, I would have expected the number to be higher. Those national numbers are just usually so ridiculous. None the less, congratulations to Kelvin Scott for a great job this year.
  9. My vote will go to the coach of Lone Oak. Regardless of the results in the championship, it was an amazing turn around. I also see the arguement for each of the other coaches listed. Beatty would get my second place vote. Great job to all coaches around the state. It was an exciting year and I am counting down the days til next year.
  10. Kind of off topic, but Bob Costas has a son who attends UK. Always good to hear a Kentucky school get publicity nationally.
  11. Well he can have a bright and shiny orange every year, or go be an apple that will compete with other great apples every year. I agree that if he is a great coach, which I think he is, he will win anywhere. However, as Dick Vitale always says, "Don't mess with happiness"
  12. Coach Biggs is a good coach and an even better guy. Glad to see the Tomcats get the victory.
  13. Hmmmmm......play Dayton, Ludlow and Bellevue each year or Elder, St. X, Colerain? I think if Coach Rash wants job security he will stay right where he is. Then again, I can't fault the man for taking on a challenge. From all I am hearing he is not looking seriously at the job. I really do not know how seriously they are looking at him either. All rumors I have heard have the coach off last year's Cov. Cath. team as the leading canidate.
  14. Congrats to both teams on an excellent season. LCA looks to step up and become a power lacking in Class A when NCC and Danville moved up. We will hear a lot about these two teams next year.
  15. Sounds to me like Hatton is a fighter, and Mayweather is a boxer. In a boxing match, the boxer won.
  16. It will be interesting to see what the Bengals decide to do with Rudi in the off season. Surely they will not spend a top draft pick on a RB. Hopefully he can win the fans back over.
