I hope after this game all of the HC faithful can now see why I've said since the beginning of the year that Beechwood would get the #2 seed in the district.

Also heard Romes had a nice dunk with 52 seconds left in the game to put the nail in the coffin.

Congrats to the Beechies.

Holy Cross/Covcath now becomes a HUGE game on Fri. Loser gets Holmes in the first round of districts.

Congratulations to the Tigers and Coach Schumate on a great win and a great season. The Indians have a show down in Park Hills on Friday to earn a rematch against the Tigers in the first round of the Districts.

Great might night from 3 point land for the Tigers congrats.:thumb: Hc needs to learn how to finish games they can't ever seem to make a late run. Also, it was a very hostile crowd in Latonia as expected. :thumb:

Great game but I'm not convinced Beechwood is better.

The dunk was nice they have a couple guys who can throw down with ease.

 This always cracks me up. One game may not be the truest measure of which team is better, but it is all we have to go on right now. Beechwood is better until Holy Cross proves otherwise. I am sure the Holy Cross supporters hope the chance to prove otherwise comes in the first game in districts.

Congrats to Beechwood and Coach Shumate on another big win!!!

I wouldn't expect to see them make a late comeback. That's why they run the offense they do, because they don't have scorers outside of Giwa. The problem is when they have to hurry up and try to score they really have no options outside of Giwa who the defense obviously keys on. Couple that with the fact that he can't shoot very well from the outside and it makes it tough for the Indians to comeback late in the game.

On a sidenote Pohlgeers had a big night for the Tigers... that was the best I've seen him shoot.

This was a pretty hard fought game by both teams. Beechwood shot very well from three. IMO these two teams will meet again in the Districts and it will be tough to beat a team twice on their home floor!

I believe someone said in the prediction thread that it'd be either him or Snyder that'd be the one to hurt the Indians in this game. :sssh::D

That was a nice call ER, and not one I thought would happen. Pohlgeers has seemed tentative in the big games so I didn't expect him to step up. Good for him. Hopefully, this will give him a confidence boost. If he can repeat this, Beechwood really becomes tough.

This was the first time I was able to see Beechwood play, and they really impressed me. Having said this, I think the Indians could have played better. If they match up with Beechwood in districts I think it will be another very close game. Holy Cross is very well coached. They will learn from their mistakes they made tonight and will give Beechwood another tough game. But, they have to get by Cov Cath first.

How did Egan/Sullivan do against Smith?

Anyone have any stats?

Both had decent games and won the battle of the bigs. Egan had seven. Sullivan had five.

Smith had three for the Tigers. Snyder had seven.
