  1. My kids play at a class A school and I was just trying to figure out what kind of talent is out there. Any next level players in Class A this year?
  2. Just wondering who all was in this on Saturday. Any word of the schedule.
  3. The biggest shock is Middleton being number one. He might not be the best player on his team IMO. Zollo is a top 50 in the country in his class. He is undoubtebly number one in the 10th. And while Im at it, Clark Co. should also undoubtedly be preseason number one, and probably top five in the state. By the way, is Hatton the kid that can shoot? Just trying to put a name with a face.
  4. Until Bourbon County and Paris get their programs back up to par, Montgomery is going to have a cake walk to the region year in and year out. They will get the 1st or 2nd seed along with Clark Co and will be one blowout win away from the regional tourney. Coach Greisser is a great coach and will do great things over there. Could see him moving to bigger things in the near future.
  5. Here's Eight -Jon Hood 3 players from Scott Co. -Guynn -Jackson -Euton 2 players from Clark Co. -Zollo -Stenzel -Middleton -Samford
  6. This will be Paris' first opponent not ranked in the top five in the state in their class. (LCA, Bellvue, Mason) Thomas kid ran for 255 against LCA and scored when he wanted to. Can't imagine anyone from Nicholas having that kind of speed. One of the fastest kids I've seen in a long time.
  7. LCA might be the best team in 3A, let alone 1A. Averaging over 40 a game? A couple of lineman around the 300 mark. Can Paris keep it close?
  8. Hard to compare scores from previous weeks, but I get what you're saying. The hounds weren't as bad as people suspected last week. Bellvue is ranked sixth in the Class A. Paris hasn't been ranked since John McCain was a prisoner at Hanoihilton. I do think that Paris has a chance to be a lot better this year. They tell me Everage is doing a great job. I hate that for my kids who didn't get to experience consistency with coaches while they were there.
  9. They have an 8th grader that could probably start alongside Thomas right now in the backfield if it was legal. I believe the name is Hopkins. He is bigger than 50 percent of their varsity guys.
  10. Back to the original topic here, Montgomery will again be the second best team in the district. Rash is a great athlete if they can get him to shoot more. I heard they were actually making the rest of the team run in practice everytime he doesn't get ten shots up last year. I like the motivational tactics by coach. Anyway, let the Crisp kid set up on the wing and he's deadly. The Indians shouldn't fear missing the regional tournament with the likes of Bourbon or Paris as a first round district opponent.
  11. Word is they interviewed a bunch of people and called back two candidates yesterday to which one they will offer the job. One was an assisant at Henry Clay. His name is Boardis (spelling?) and the other is a Bourbon grad that assists over at Paris, Earlywine (spelling?).
  12. Is he even one of the best 3 players on his team? They are loaded, especially in the class of 2011. Stenzel and the Fleming County transfer are both great players.
  13. Don't they return Teon Thomas (spelling?). He might have been all-region last year? Not sure about that. I think you are right, they lost one player and i don't remember hearing his name much so, maybe will give bourbon a run for the 3 seed. Anyway, saw them play a couple of times. The Thomas kid is very athletic.
  14. I don't know why Hammonds would leave West Jessamine. Hundley, from what I'm gathering from Montgomery County people, has no interest in the job. Moore, LeMaster, Earlywine, Brooks, etc would all be good coaches but I'm not sure if they fit the profile. Bourbon has always gone after big names. The problem is, the big names never do stay long. I agree with the play by play guy when he said something about long term committment to the program. I'm an alumni of Paris, so I hope they don't get a good coach. Haha Just kidding
  15. Won't they go after a bigger name guy? Most of the names that are coming up are assistants. Flynn was a "big name" coach. Is the program going to be down or will there be any talent there?
  16. Ive been hearing a lot of gossip about Johnny Poynter from Trimble County. He has been applying for a couple of central ky jobs. Heard he was interested in Paris at one time. He would be great at Harrison. He has assistants that have great ties to Harrison County.
  17. How about the 100's of kids that Clark County has gotten in from Fleming County over the years.
  18. I know there is a similar thread already out there, but its getting old and lengthy. What's still out there that hasn't been filled? Tates Creek still available?
  19. I think he (Everage) was an assistant at Somerset. They had some really good head coaches apply. Hopefully this one will finally be the "one."
  20. What's the word on who they are going to hire? I keep hearing Everidge (spelling?) from Somerset. Poynter and Egli are in the mix? Any truth to this?
  21. I keep hearing Egli from Scott County and Poynter from Trimble County. A friend told me there were lots of interviews scheduled for Thursday.
  22. Oh really? He seems like a good guy. Ive met him a few times. My son had him at a football camp and really liked him.
  23. If I remember right, didn't they shut out three power houses in three straight weeks in the playoffs when he was at Bourbon County. Boyle Co. 21-0 Lex Cath 28-0 or something like that. and Lawrence County ???-0. And by the way, this forum is going in the wrong direction. I thought we were talking about future coaches. If someone wants, they can start a thread titled, "Coaches blasting their former programs." Let's get back to the new coaching situation shall we? Anybody here how the interviews went?
