It should be pretty evenly matched. Nicholas took a big blow on a cheapshot horse collar tackle on Mynear the quarterback and ended up tearing his ACL. Lemons the backup didn't look too bad against Fairview the rest of the game. We will just have to see if he can step up to lead the Jackets.

I didn't see the game or know anything about the play you are talking about so I can't comment on that part of it. I just wanted to send our well wishes and prayers from Raceland for the Mynear kid. I hope everything goes well with him and his rehab. Hopefully someone can keep us posted. I love h.s. football and hate to see any kid hurt.

It wasnt a dirty play just football. It was a broken play and some of Nicholas Co. kids just froze and didnt go help their Q.B. Mynear will be missed on Defense the most.

This will be Paris' first opponent not ranked in the top five in the state in their class. (LCA, Bellvue, Mason) Thomas kid ran for 255 against LCA and scored when he wanted to. Can't imagine anyone from Nicholas having that kind of speed. One of the fastest kids I've seen in a long time.

Definitely agree. The D was playing great the first quarter against fairview, shutting everything down. It was almost like the D quit when he was injured.

I dont think it was a cheapshot.

 

Lemons looked good last year I thought when Mynear hurt his knee. He doest have the same cannon for an arm that Jordan has, but he seems like he has a lot better touch on his passes. But, I guess that really isnt a factor either way, Nicholas passes about 3 times a game.
