Having to go tape delay due to connection issues I'm told.

My predictions: 1. McGovney will play and contribute. 2. Holbrook will NOT get 38 vs. Mustang's "D". 3. Camels will play zone. 4. Mustangs will play man-to-man. 5. Wilson will not be much of a factor, as BB's bigs are too seasoned. 6. Camels will at some point go to the full court press which has been very good to them vs. BB in the recent past.......And regret it. 7. Atmosphere will be electric. 8. Brossart will win by about 8-10, say 62-53? PS: Be there early for a good seat!

Agree with you 3311 regarding a potential easy BB win, and couldn't believe that GRC withdrew when I heard it. I was another who was looking forward to seeing where BB stood vs. a perennial 10th region power. May not be Preston Knowles & Co., but its still GRC. Disappointing & curious, but I'm sure both teams will show up & play whoever's warming up at the other end?

Anyone know why Clark County withdrew from this tourney and their scheduled matchup tomorrow with Bishop Brossart? Heard BB was "reassigned" another team as CC W/D'ed.

Yes, they're trying to get the program moving, but currently only about the equal of the Highlands' basketball program??

No problem with the districts' call, but the Brossart bus had to virtually drive by both Scott & Dixie on the way to Lexington, and much earlier (9:00-9:30) when the roads weren't as clear?

Not sure what numbers you used but I saw the 2011-2012 numbers at 164 boys (BB) vs. 214 (NCC)?? Think its been a while since BB had 200 boys?

If it's played down at NCC, and the temp goes down a little; he's probably referring to the condition of the floor??

Wow--Terrible officiating at Dixie with the deciding calls bailing out Dixie, a questionable face mask and rude student section at Brossart, and then an attempted stolen game at Bracken--Tough week for Highlands?? Everyone must be out to get them?? :confused:

Amazing after a very surprising result, and an outstanding effort on both sides of the ball by the Mustangs; that 3/4 of this thread is about a kids' protective face mask & the student section?? Highlands just took one of the top teams in NKY to the wire in Dixie, and BB wins by 30 and holds them almost 28 points under their average; how about a congrats to the players & coaches?? Personally I'm just happy to see Drew able to play this season after the injury he had to his face, and now whinning about an approved mask, much by folks that weren't even at the game--Weak in my opinion. Just my $ .02's worth.

Seriously?? Have you ever been to a BB game? I've seen some packed houses, and even know of some times they've had to add some auxiliary seats in the cafeteria; but "wait forever just to try to get in"--Doubtful. On a serious note, this would be interesting to see this game moved to a neutral & larger arena? Lots of interest, often very competitive, great rivalry; and both settings have their shortcomings--BB's is size and NCC's is the awful floor in the winter, having caused more than a few ugly, slippery games and even a couple cancellations.

Thanks--Heard Newport was much improved, and must be to hang tough with Dixie. What did Campbell do in the opener of that event? Didn't see a thread on that one?

Not participating in a sport is not unique for a HS kid?? Doubtful there's a school out there that has 100% of the kids "that would clearly make that program much better" playing any given sport. Kids don't play for a variety of reasons--jobs, girlfriends, burnout, concentrate on another sport or God forbid-academics, etc. Just because a kid would enhance his school team's chances doesn't obligate him to play a given sport?? These are 16-18 year old kids and newsflash--They can be unpredictable?? BB does need to do a better job getting everyone that can help out for football, but let's not single out a kid because he decides to concentrate on his future.

And what does that have to do with "The Basketball Gods" keeping kids from playing football theme of this thread?? Tanner will have someone pay for his college via baseball, and obviously choses to concentrate on that sport; as he gave up basketball to spend more time on his #1 sport.

Since you are obviously obsessed with BBHS football from your many negative comments this year, please enlighten me and tell me which BBallers are sitting around not playing football at the behest of the "BB Gods"?? Curious??
