Huge district game at CCMS

My prediction: Nate McGovney will be back and Camels win 52-45.

Think BB will win this one. They have really been playing very well and great team ball.

I also added a poll.

No secret what will happen this game. Camels will pack it in a zone, maybe occasional full court zone pressure, and hope Brossart's not hitting. On offense, it'll be the Camels doing a bunch of high picks and one on one ball with Mcgovney and Holbrook. Never know

how these rivalries will turn out.

However I like the Stangs in a very close game.

My prediction: Nate McGovney will not be back and Brossart wins in a higher scoring affair. 72-51.

If Nate would get cleared it would be for minimal minutes only and he would not be that much of a factor in his first game back. If he was already cleared as earlier hoped, I thought he would have tested himself in the Mason game? Can't wait to see him back in action. I may make a visit to Campbell County to take this one in.

This is the grand-daddy rivalry game of all rivalry games. The one regular season game, played on such a stage as to duplicate a regional semi-finals type atmosphere. Throw out the record books and stat sheets when these two get together. As always it will be a war.

The Mustangs are looking to get the four-straight loss gorilla off our backs, and to get back to our winning ways over the Camels that have eluded us for the past two seasons. This is a good Brossart team, as evidenced by our 11-2 record and wins over Oldham Co and Perry Co Central in the Republic Bank Classic last week and a pair of near misses to quality teams - Roger Bacon and Fayette Co, Ga.

Campbell County would like nothing more than to bring the high-flying Mustangs back to earth by upsetting them and continuing their win streak while obtaining the upper hand in the district seeding race. The McGovney play/not play issue has spiced up this forum since his setback in the Louisville Butler game. This I know - If Nate is capable of competing to any degree he will be one the floor and giving his best in the Brossart game. He is a fierce competitor who will risk life and limb, in this his senior season to keep his string of varsity wins over the Mustangs alive. If not, the game will always have an addendum attached to it questioning the outcome IF Nate had played or been 100%. The Camels are a competitive unit without him. His addition will give his team a huge mental boost, and a cause for which to rally behind.

Enough hype and speculation. Let the games begin!!! Looking forward to it.

I will try and keep this very simple so that you can understand it.

1. Fact - Nate was cleared by his doc at approx. 3:37 pm on Weds.

2. Fact - Coach Russell wanted him to have a couple full practices prior to game action.

3. Opinion - Nate will play significant minutes on Saturday.

4. Opinion - McGovney and Holbrook back together will lead the Camels to victory.

No fun intended but the Mustangs have more horses in this one. Mustangs win

My predictions:

1. McGovney will play and contribute.

2. Holbrook will NOT get 38 vs. Mustang's "D".

3. Camels will play zone.

4. Mustangs will play man-to-man.

5. Wilson will not be much of a factor, as BB's bigs are too seasoned.

6. Camels will at some point go to the full court press which has been very good to them vs. BB in the recent past.......And regret it.

7. Atmosphere will be electric.

8. Brossart will win by about 8-10, say 62-53?

PS: Be there early for a good seat!

I think BB has been playing very well lately and CC has been steady but not stellar. Also, if McGovney returns tonight it'll be great for them in the long term but sometimes when you've had a player out for awhile it takes a few games to realign the chemistry. I think it's close either way.

Ive seen the Mustangs and they are for real. Hate to disagree but I'll take BBHS by 10-12.

No need to play McGovney big minutes this early. Is it better to win the battle or the war? Glad he's back and I understand the #1 seed in the district tournament is huge so I see both sides of the argument.

Thanks for making this simple so I could understand. Has he been practicing? I'm assuming the 3:37 clearance was for contact? Has he been running etc.?

Good luck to Nate. I hope he stays healthy.

BB is the better team with or without Nate. Anything goes in rivalry games but I'll say 6-8 win for the Mustangs.
