I believe AAU went to the grade rule last year and the 3 exceptions is no longer. But, that rule was always only for high school or lower ages anyway.

It's a great read. I read it in 2 days after starting. It doesn't glorify anybody, just tell the facts ... Including the kids questioning Hicks a couple of times for their offense.

You could same the same thing about Renner. I heard going into administration on Feldhaus, but who knows. If he was ever going to leave this would seem like the year and going out on top.

And Ballard has ball to start the second half. MC better turn it quick. I knew Snider would turn it around after last nights poor shooting night. Him and Holland already have 7 more points in the first half than they did all game last night.

It will be Hawkins-Holland on MC offense I would think. Snider will get Bosley. Of course Hawkins will check Snider and Taylor on Martin. Should be a good one. I expect Snider to bounce back and lead Ballard to a down to the wire win.

Let's not pretend Omar plays any different than the other best players. He can be as wild as the rest of them. I do think we found out why he is going to William &Mary and not a higher d1 school. How rough Ballard was will be the norm in college and he can't compete at that level. But as a high school player, it was a great ride and he deserves all the accolades he recidivism. I hope he has a great college career. If Snider and Holland shoot even halfway decent, Ballard would have won going away.

Heard Taylor late for bus to rupp. Central way off but only down 8, so I like their chances in the second half. Bosley can't possibly be that bad again this half and expect Hawkins to pick it up as well.

Just realized I missed one. Lafayette's Jackson Davis also had more turnovers than Harville.

Just for clarification on facts I did some research. Found out the following. 1. Harville had one game winner this season in 70-68 win over Fayette County GA. Only other game decided by one possession Drew Schacht had the game winner. 2. Harville didn't lead his own team in assists. Schacht had 81 compared to 80 for Harville. Schacht committed 43 less turnovers than Harville's 96, which was the most on LCA. I could only find 1 player in Lexington that had more turnover and he played at Sayre. 3. Harville's 41.2 percent from 3 was best I could find in Lexington among those that took at least 20 threes. I think Harville was a decent high school player who is a very good shooter, but definitely needs a new press secretary who gets the facts straight. Good luck Tyler.

I may be directionally challenged, bit last time I checked Lexington is not in NKY. Harville wouldn't be on the list anyway.

No they will not

Last time, Catholic didn't press which I was supposed with. The end result was probably one of the most boring Scott County-Catholic games in the rivalry and an 11-point Scott County win where you never felt they would lose. I have to think Catholic will pick up the intensity a little more Friday night. I don't think it will matter, as I believe Scott County is simply the better team. I don't think the Knights have answers for Quin Richardson and Trent Gilbert. Plus, Jalen Haddix has become a dependable third scorer. Catholic can win if Jack Whitman is unguardable and puts up 25-30, which he is certainly capable of doing. The Cardinals can throw up to 4 post players at Whitman, so foul trouble shouldn't be an issue and Whitman struggled at the line in the last meeting. Scott County by 8.

First of all, let me say, I think Madison Central wins by 7. But, to answer your question, I think: 1. Darien Tichenor must neutralize Quan Taylor in the middle and at least match his output, particularly on the glass. Plus, he must be a factor changing shots on the inside. 2. Jordan Green and Trey Grundy must play like they did in the second half last night against Dunbar. First half, 0 offensive rebounds and took a lot of questionable shots. They were both much better in the second half. At one point, the 2 had 37 of HC's 44 points. 3. Christen Cunningham ankle needs to keep improving and allow him to make some shots he missed last night against Dunbar. I understand he is fine going straight ahead and jumping, but the lateral movement is a little less. Each day, I would think that would improve. He needs to give them a 3rd scorer. 4. Don't allow Ken-Jah Bosley and Dominique Hawkins to get easy looks. They are going to score and probably combine for 40+, but you have to make them work and take a lot of shots to get there.

Gary definitely grabbed him around the waist, but I agree the official should have just called a common foul. I actually thought Grundy's grab in transition in the first overtime was just as bad. Dunbar had Henry Clay in the first overtime. Up 4 and Smith missed a layup. Dunbar had all the momentum at that point and I thought Henry Clay would have folded if Dunbar went up 6. Seconds later Dunbar gave HC an easy 2 points with a foul. After Smith's miss, HC went on an 11-0 run (4 to forced second OT and first 7 of 2nd OT), It was a great high school game in terms of atmosphere and competitiveness.

Do you know anything about Henry Clay other than their recent 2 blowout losses? I am figuring you can't to make a prediction like that if you know anything about HC and the 11th Region. There is no way Dunbar wins by 16.

These two split their regular season contests, with Dunbar winning the most recent contest 64-62 three weeks ago. Henry Clay won the first meeting 64-61. Dunbar (19-9) has four that average double digits on the year, led by senior guard Mike Smith at 14 points per game. Fellow seniors William Gary, E.J. Floreal and Eric Trigg join Smith in leading the Bulldogs. Expect a hard fought battle in this one and the season matchup suggest it going down to the last minute. Keys to the game: 1. Which Henry Clay team shows up? The one that has lost lopsided games to Scott County and Lafayette in recent weeks or the one that swept their Christmas tournaments in impressive fashion. 2. Who wants it more? The rebounding stats may answer this question. HC boasts the taller group, but doesn't always work the hardest and Floreal and company could dominate inside. 3. Will Dunbar attack the basket or settle for outside shots? If they attack, can Henry Clay keep Smith and company out of the lane. 4. Grundy -- will he be a dominate force on the inside or let the big occasion get to him? My gut tells me HC by 5 because they more talent, but I think Dunbar may want it more and pull it out in the end. Either way, I expect a heck of a game. Who you got and why?
