Lexington Catholic (21-10) will take on Scott Co (24-7) Friday at 6:30 in the semi's of the 11th region. Your thoughts and predictions.

Last time, Catholic didn't press which I was supposed with. The end result was probably one of the most boring Scott County-Catholic games in the rivalry and an 11-point Scott County win where you never felt they would lose. I have to think Catholic will pick up the intensity a little more Friday night. I don't think it will matter, as I believe Scott County is simply the better team. I don't think the Knights have answers for Quin Richardson and Trent Gilbert. Plus, Jalen Haddix has become a dependable third scorer. Catholic can win if Jack Whitman is unguardable and puts up 25-30, which he is certainly capable of doing. The Cardinals can throw up to 4 post players at Whitman, so foul trouble shouldn't be an issue and Whitman struggled at the line in the last meeting.

I really like the way Scott County is playing...........I look for them in the finals where I think they can pull a slight upset................

I really like the way Scott County has been playing, but they have done this all year. Look solid and in control a few games then lay a dud. Neither team is your typical 11th Region contender. I will take the Knights in an upset.

I don't think catholic has what it takes to beat Scott co so I pick Scott co by 10 or more

Im torn.......

 

1. IF Catholic can shoot the way they did from the perimeter in the first half of the Woodford game and Whitman can get going, I like their chances.

 

2. HOWEVER.........Whitman has a bad back, Johnson Im guessing is still a no-go????

No Johnson = no chance. Catholic will be one of the favorites next season with a strong nucleus returning.
