I wonder how many are thinking it but dont wanna post it. Its highly possbile that Carroll beats Gallatin on their home floor.

Come on guys we should be pullin for each other in games like these. I was disappointed to see WV lost and the same goes for GC the years they have went. But we all know its in good fun. Congrats to WV on their run in the A. Most importantly GC all of the 8th region as well as others are believing for strength and healing with the recent tradgedy.

Honestly JD Powers survery does not truly address the longevity of a vehicle. The survey is more about what people like or dislike about their vehicle. It addresses things like the number of cupholders in the vehicle. All you have to do is look at the resale price of a vehicle to see what its real quality is.

Have to say the same about Waltons student section, they represent!

Another close loss for the Panthers. While I think this team is highly capable of winning the district despite their record I really hate this for the kids. This team is really to talented to have the record they do. They continue to find a way to beat themselves. I would love to see them share the ball the way the freshmen team does. They are really fun to watch as they play for each other by just sharing the ball and playing hard every possesion. I challenge you to come watch them play. Boys your career is about over value each possession and every game and bring that intensity your coaches display and that passion that each of you have inside you and good things will happen fast. Beacuse in a few short weeks you will never step foot on the court again with each other.

Negative, the attendees at this showcase were voted on by the respective regions coaches. It is similar to the East/West All Star game in which I believe 2 players and an alternate are selected. In addition to the players mentioned for the Sophomore showcase, the players selected for the east/west all star game that will return this season are: Russell from Anderson County Pelphry from Grant County Craig from Carroll County (alternate) I am pretty certain these are correct, I apologize if I am mistaken. Sounds like alot of returning talent to the 8th region it should be a fun season. It will also be fun to see what new names emerge this season. Good Luck to all teams and most of all I hope all the kids can stay injury free.

This was a really great game to watch as a fan. Both teams really played hard and showed great sportsmanship throughout. Maybe not the highest profile game in the state but a game like this is what its all about. Intense coaching on both sides as well. :thumb:

Many good points on here. Dont' shorten the regular season 10 games fly by way to quickly. I am sort of torn on the playoffs as far as everyone playing. Round one could be easily eliminated as many games are blowouts anyway. However as far as football being too short of a season I dont buy that for a second. Its basically year round, Spring Practice, June(whatever thats called which includes the 7 on 7) and then the real practice starts in the middle of baseball season. Ya I know same for basketball and the pull from AAU and taking up the month of June as well.

Does big Barry and Ryan have the home opener?:lol: Just kidding I like both guys they do a good job, GC big in this one.

Saw him yesterday in Florence around 5pm, I thought to myself he should be at practice about now, then I remembered the above post. Regardless of what different people think about a kids talent level or if they are a rival, you sure hate to see something like that happen to a player, especially his Sr. year. I felt bad for Trent Maddox last year with all of his injury problems. Good Luck to Shelton, I hope he can play.

My point exactly we did not even line full backs up except maybe one play. Bascially the same against CAL. Makes your offense pretty predictable when you do what we have done recently. Too many good athletes on this team not to spread the ball around and I am just not talking about the full backs. This team has way more talent than they showcase, I can't figure it out I really like our staff and they are very football smart, just need to spread it around a little and good things will happen.

2 muddy games in a row Carroll's full backs grand total of zero carries not sure why we think we can run sweeps effectively in this stuff.

That is such a great statement. I don't want to get off topic but quitting is definitely not the answer as you are setting a bad precedent for all age groups and the athletic program as a whole. We played Bracken early in the year and they are not to the point they need to quit. Keep working and developing the kids it will come. We see teams that were once perinnial playoff teams struggle with consecutive losing seasons, only to bounce back. If Bracken has teams playing at a young age and they keep developing things will eventually get better. Congratulations to Trimble on another solid win. Good luck to both teams the rest of the year.

Also surprised Will Yager from Carroll County is not on this list of top ten players as he can shoot the lights out.

There are some great points in this thread from both camps. It was certainly not the super bowl for CC and for sure time to move on but not forget what happened last night as you prepare for the rest of the season. Even with a 5-1 record this game should serve as a turning point for the black and gold. The biggest enemy of becoming great is satisfied with being good. As far as being vocal, I guess thats where my passion comes in. Not really a whole lot to talk about or get overly excited about when your beating teams you should beat. As far as anyone second guessing any player or coach on anything there is no reason for it. My opinion is the coaches have the right players in the right positions. Trust these coaches and players it certainly is a passionate group and they are all unselfish. I firmly believe they will use this loss in a positive way.

How do yu get bandwagon out of that ! It is what it is on paper the only teams that this teams that should have beaten Carroll is Desales or Cal. Furthermore to the bandwagon comment I have been saying all year were not as good as our record indicates and that was proven tonight. I am a fan and always will be thats why I refuse to get excited about being 5-0 with our caliber of schedule. As far as an earlier post about who says Carroll is good, well we were ranked in the top ten in AA. I didnt agree with that either. Most importantly we have players thinking we are better than we are. Hey im all for confidence and expecting to win but you gotta have some wins against some good teams. I believe in this team and the coaches, never have never will be a bandwagon fan, heck just look at my AVTAR :thumb:

Good win for Trimble. Congratulations and thanks for doing something that needed to be done to Carroll. Much has been said about easy schedule and I couldnt agree more. I am a big fan of this coaching staff but at the same time we have to realize we are not as good as a team as our record indicates. That was proven tonight and I hope no one says well we had starters out first half. BIG DEAL! If were that good we can overcome that, which we did not. Carroll on paper could have, should have went 8-2 or 9-1 and lost the first round in the playoffs. I think for this team to have a successful season they must win a first round playoff game. Wins do not always equal being successful IMO. I hate losing as much as anyone but I also think as good a win as this was for Trimble it was a great loss for Carroll. If we are going to compete in post season we will allow this loss to be a huge learning experience. And finally for what its worth its no one player or coaches fault for the loss and its certainly not because some of the starters did not start the game.

The first half of this game could be very interesting.

I will say this regardless of the number of kids GC has out for football they have some tough kids. CC down 14-0 showed their own toughness by shutting GC down and scoring 27 unanswered. CC has a good 1-2-3 punch in the backfield along with several capable receivers running in and out of the game. Once they establish the passing game this team could be very interesting. As good as the offense can be the defense may be even better!

My favorite thing to watch every year on TV. Remember when the only game televised was the championship on ABC Wide World of Sports. Seems like I turned it on in the last inning every year.

I actually had the same thought while I was typing my response to the question that was asked. Simply wanted to answer the question and give the players the credit they deserve. Anderson county has a great team and I hope they represent the 8th very well as I am sure they will. How careless of me to even mention Carroll County in the same post as Anderson.

Chris Hendrick and Ethan Stewart for Carroll County. Congratulations to both boys. Note to those Carroll County boys returning next year do your job great things happen. Ethan hit one ball past the dirt area , the other hits were bunts and an infield single and he hustled his tail off to make it happen. Great example what team means, Chris dominates the game for 5 innings while other players are doing what it takes to scratch runs across.:thumb:
