Outscored 198-0 in their last four games. Tough times in Brooksville.

It's been a tough decade or longer. Weird because I remember playing down there. The kids weren't small or overmatched. For same reason they just don't win.

There first varsity season, believe they won 3 games, don't think they have won that many over the 6-7 years since then. I believe their 5th-6th and 7th-8th grade squads this season won 2 games between them. At what point do you pull the plug if at all? Any comments from any that have been in this situation?

Why would you pull the plug? So that you can teach the kids that Have been working and attempting to play football that it is better to quit than overcome adversity. I don't think so.

I agree. There's some respect that is due kids that continue to plug away and play the game, even though they haven't won in way too many games.

Some comments on the game last night...first, BC has some niced sized boys and their RB had a little speed. Sizewise, BC matched up with TC.

I commend the coach for demanding discipline out of his players. I respected him for sending one player to the locker room for mouthing. I do not respect the parents from coming down and yelling at the coach for disciplining their son. BC had one long series of penalties stemming from unsportsmanlike conduct. One player (who shall remain numberless for the purpose of this board) kept trying to start fights on the field, even shoving one of our players and then falling down and looking at the ref.

I heard the coach after the game talk a long time about discipline. I think the program needs to start there. If players or parents don't like it, then they need to find another "hobby." If you want a program that can win, you've got to have discipline in your practices, how you interact with your coaches and on the playing field. Evidently, there are some issues that need to be worked out in this area and I hope that the coach is given the chance to address them.

So better to be laughing stock?, just saying. Do you continue to go winless and mostly scoreless for the next 5-6 years or have the kids put their energy into another sport? Have watched Bracken County play a few times over the last several years and the kids year after year seem to be scared, they only arm tackle, never ever tackle with their bodies or put their head down and hit somebody, everything on offense or defense is straight up, it's like watching pee-wee football. Want the program to succeed, but when only enough kids go out that they have to play both offense and defense, what do you do?
