Manual and X are District games for PRP. Those must be played. I can only assume PRP figured that games with Trinity and Male would help prepare the Panthers for Manual and X.

Correct. But, HSFA had the Rocks preseason #66 in the nation.

Rock fans. Do yourself a favor and make the drive north to Springfield (northeast of Dayton) to watch Trinity scrimmage a stronger version (Ohio version) of FD or Male. The Wildcats have been state runner up in the Ohio large school class 3 of the last 4 years. Trinity and Springfield have scrimmaged home and home for several years now and it is high level competition.

Rocks preseason ranked #66 in the USA by High School Football America. Only Kentucky high school ranked in Top 100. Trinity opponents Moeller ranked #45 and Cincinnati St. Xavier ranked #127. Very impressive.

Updates - McBroom transferred across the river to an Indiana school, Taylor thought better about transferring to KCD and will remain at Trinity, an impressive D lineman transferred to Trinity from St X and a strong WR/TE transferred from Campbellsville to the Rocks (sorry, do not know their names).

Thanks for that update. His last season at Atherton Coach Walker opened on the road with a win at KCD. His first season at PRP his team will open on the road at Trinity. Hello……

6-5 last year. Ohio big school state runner up previous 3 years before that. They are the Ohio version of Male + or Frederick Douglass +.

I saw Ryle. They look better than last year. I also saw Covington Catholic. The Colonels are going to be a big problem for the 9th Region this coming season.

2002 6A Championship game. The old Cardinal Stadium. Trinity 59 - Male 56. The cold was BRUTAL. Those of us who sat on the metal bleachers on the visitors side essentially became stuck to the metal. I have never been as cold for as long.

Engstrand will indeed return to the Rocks coaching staff. With the Shamrocks rising junior class and another top tier, uber competitive schedule……..Go Rocks.

And, word is Coach Cobb has rehired Chris Engstrand back to the Trinity staff. Chris was an assistant coach for Trinity a few years ago. Prior to that he had been a Head Coach at John Hardin HS. Coach Cobb already had a very strong and experienced staff. Adding these new guys is even better.

Does Taylor have enough pitching to keep Trinity at bay??? If not, expect another blow out game.

Yes. This format (over 2 weeks) enables the smaller schools to at least have a chance vs the larger schools with deeper pitching rosters. But, it also allows a school with 2 or 3 “A” level pitchers to stay with those same guys one week to the next.

Amazing work by the Shamrocks. State champs in T/F and yet they have no track of their own.

Back to Back Championship Wednesdays over the Tigers. Lacrosse State Champs last Wednesday and Baseball Region Champs last night. ??

Bruins had to try something better in bottom of 7th than what they did. Bunt, get picked off second base and try a distracting rundown, etc. Bases loaded, no outs, bottom of 7, chance for a walk off win with your season on the line. Try something other than three “normal” at bats that produce nothing.

The Shamrocks won state in 2024 in the last year of the “club era” and now win state in 2025, the first year of the “KHSAA era”. Congrats to Coach Schroeder and Trinity Lacrosse. A class act.

12 - 7 vs a regional schedule. Only one loss vs in state schools (to St. X in the regular season).

The Rocks take care of business today at St. X and have advanced to the semis in the inaugural KHSAA State Championship Tournament. Trinity won state in 2024 in the final year of “club lacrosse”.
