Coach McKee seems to have the entire Scott County program headed back to the upper echelons.

Congrats to Coach Bosler, his staff and the Shamrocks student-athletes on sweeping St. X at the frosh level. The Frosh Rocks have demonstrated an ability all season to make big plays when needed. Two games remain on their schedule. Go Rocks.

For several years I have said the Dragons are a solid program but never a team able to win “big” games. I don’t think that narrative changes this week. Give me Scott County.

Bruins defense is not bad. Their offense leaves a lot to be desired. Rocks defense is special. Their offense continues to show flashes of WOW with too much SLOPPY mixed in. Can they clean that up quite a bit this week? And, they need to get back to the strong special teams Coach Cobbs squads have shown for a long time until these last couple of weeks.

The Crimson fans and students will be at a fever pitch as they host St. X for the 1st time in the new and improved Manual stadium. I have a feeling the Manual D will thwart the Tigers and the Manual O will run for 150 yards plus as the Crimson send X to a 4th consecutive loss.

I never said they were dominated. I simply said “give the other guy some credit”. The Rocks rarely, rarely win every game they play, even when they win a state championship.

The Dragons are asking where that freight train came from.

X O line is simply not physical enough.

Many Rocks fans never want to give the other guy credit. Always want to blame our guys for a loss. Ohio big school football ain’t bad.

Curious how well South Warren is able to improve and sustain an edge given their final 5 regular season games are vs 2 lower class schools and 3 weak District teams. Then, a certain running clock blowout in Round 1 and a comfortable win in Round 2. That is 7 consecutive weeks of winning football games EASY.

I am not young (born before a manned rocket ever went into space), and yet I find myself frustrated by high school football fans (mostly not young people) who continually say and do these things. 1. “Why are they wearing those black colored uniforms? Those aren’t the school colors”. (Maybe because the current players, coaches and school administrators are ok with it) 2. “Back in our day…….” (Newsflash- nobody really cares) 3. “Why aren’t they live-streaming the (fill in the blank) game?” (Do you see the trend. Live-streaming keeps more and more people at home, dry, cool or warm, comfortable. Get out and support the kids and the coaches in person. That is high school sports) 4. “Why do they accept cash? Or, Why don’t they accept credit cards? (Hint - Carry both and you will be good to go) 5. “How did that kid at _______ high school get eligible?” (Only the transfer kids at our school should be eligible). Just one man’s opinions.
