I revised this list showing the “gap” between the top 3 and all of the others 1. Boyle Co. 2. Frederick Douglass 3. Bryan Station 4. Franklin Co. 5. Scott Co. 6. Lexington Christian 7. Lexington Catholic 8. Woodford Co. 9. Tates Creek 10. Paris

Using Ryle as an example, over the last 3 years, they are 0-6 vs Bryan Station, St. X and Trinity.

Strengthening the schedule is the easy part of that equation. Beating the stronger teams on the improved schedule is the more important part of that equation.

Until Ryle, McCraken and SK upgrade their regular season schedules and then show they can win those games, the 6A champ will not emerge from either Northern Kentucky or Western Kentucky. With Trinity graduating all but one of their defensive starters and about half of their guys on offense (the Rocks will play a TON of sophomores ), I think 6A is a toss up between FD, Male and Trinity with St. X, Manual and Bryan Station a step behind.

Their baseball team has some tough dudes and scrappy competitors. Can a new coach and mojo from baseball help their football program?

Tigers make a lot of noise in the off season. But for last several years they cannot beat Male or Trinity in mid and late November. Now Frederick Douglass and Bryan Station are in the mix. Can they get to Lexington and Kroger Field?

This is a huge undertaking for Collins Basketball and their school community. I hope there are butts in seats to support the event and these teams that are coming from far and wide.

Yes, OCHS basketball is not Ballard basketball, but.it is also not Carroll County basketball (much better). The Colonels have had some good runs in the last 10/15 years and that includes a trip or two to The Sweet 16 at Rupp. The OCHS roster does not have to be good enough to win the 7th Region (Ballard has that challenge) but they must be good enough to win the 8th Region (and they will under Chris).

I would think Male would adore this plan to move to the 6th Region. Much easier path to STATE in baseball, basketball and soccer. No impact on football.

What is the issue with the Cooper administration? The school seems to be on the uptick with sports.

I looked at their schedule. This is a function of 9 two-year “home and home” series plus the annual neutral site game vs Louisville X. One year 5 home, 4 away and the neutral site. The next year the opposite. But how about the 4 home games - Center Grove, Male, Cincinnati X and Ballard. Big boy football.
