It takes more than one really impressive win. They need to win vs a MUCH more challenging schedule to even be considered for a national championship.

If you have never been to Carmel it is a really cool place. The high school campus is “college like”. Instead of streaming take the drive up I65, have a seat and enjoy high school football live and in person….the way it should be. And then enjoy the quaint little village of Carmel.

Congrats to Boyle. HUGE WIN. Very impressive.

PRP will be overmatched even though Ballard is not the squad they were last year. Panthers need to get to the Meade Counties and North Hardins on their schedule.

The Colts were humbled last week by North Oldham. Coach Jackson will have DeSales ready to handle KCD this week.

The FD D will keep the Crimson bottled up all night. Give me the Broncos 31 - 10.

Fair. Better than expected. That says they are getting better.

SK and Beechwood might have something to say about that.

They are “for real” only when they play a 3A school, three classes lower??? If you are for real, you better be able to compete with the better programs in your own class.

Until they face F Douglass and B Station. Their schedule is relatively soft compared to the 6A big boys.

Manual will need to get a lot better to beat St. X and Male.

I sense the Birds are “stacking” impressive freshman football classes back to back.

Male wins this big. I think Ballard will have a really rough season this year against any of the big boys on their schedule- Male, Bryan Station and Trinity.

Both coaches inherited programs in stress and have done well in getting their teams much more competitive and trending up.

X should be able to dominate the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball, at least as the game wears on and roster depth kicks in….. especially in this heat.

You actually consider a parents assessment of practice in relation to how a high level program like Trinity performs in a game?

Highlands needs to make a statement in this game. I am thinking a win in the 17-21 point range.

Will be a huge crowd in Goshen. Highway 42 will be busier than it’s already busy Friday night. The new Gustafos on 42 or the new DiOrio’s on River Road have wonderful happy hours. A couple of great pregame spots….but you better be there by 5 pm.

SW is well coached with a strong football culture. HC is a very large school with a varsity football program that has struggled for many years (relative to what they once were and relative to the stronger programs in 5A and 6A). SW with the win.

CH comes out of this game 0-2 with two non competitive games. The wheels may be off after that for the Bruins.

Running clock early and often. Henry Clay is really a struggling program. FD, BS, Lex Cath and LCA cleaning up the talent in Lexington. HC and Lafayette have fallen off the map.

No question about it. Barring an injury bug, Trinity will be MUCH better coming out of District play. They are playing a ton of talented, but inexperienced sophomores. Their senior class is a bit light, but the combination of the 3 classes below is deep and talented.
