March 5, 201214 yr 15 million people taking their marching orders from Rush scares the dog-poo out of me. You can relax, Jim. Most of the listeners aren't listening for marching orders. Those that are are already screwballs to begin with and don't need Rush to scare the dog-poo out of you.
March 5, 201214 yr Enough? Seems awfully short to me but in the media world that might be a lengthy punishment.
March 5, 201214 yr 15 million people taking their marching orders from Rush scares the dog-poo out of me. Then you can rest easy.
March 5, 201214 yr To spend over $1000 bucks a year you are taking a lot more than just the pill. A year's supply of the pill would run you about $600 at absolute max, it's much more likely to be in the $400 range. So I think that's why people are jumping on her about having a lot of sex. If she's buying $400 to $600 bucks in condoms. I hate to disagree here, but it is possible for a birth control to cost that much. There are many different types and manufacturers of birth control and all vary in cost. Some are in the low 30s with no insurance however those that are still name brand only are as high as 85-95 dollars for a months supply. That being said I honestly have rarely seen an instance where birth control was not covered in some way by insurance. They may have a problem with someone using something like Beyaz when Yaz or Yasmin ar molecularly similar and already generic and charge a correspondingly higher copay but there are rare cases where insurance does not cover any birth control. The only ones I have seen that cover no birth control are the ones that are sponsored by the Catholic church which is against all forms of contraception.
March 5, 201214 yr Author I can't remember, did you start a thread about it? When he gets to level of Rush I will. 90% of the people couldn't pick him out of a crowd. Can't imagine there'd be much discussion about it.
March 5, 201214 yr Author Seems awfully short to me but in the media world that might be a lengthy punishment. No clue. You don't hear of many suspensions so it's tough to make a comparison.
March 5, 201214 yr Ron Paul isn't buying the apology. Paul: Limbaugh apologized for personal gain - CBS News Congressman Paul: "In other astonishing news, the sun came up today." So we demand apologies from people when they say or do things like this then when they do we dismiss the apology. What's the point in apologizing?
March 5, 201214 yr So we demand apologies from people when they say or do things like this then when they do we dismiss the apology. What's the point in apologizing? He doubled down for three days and then apologized after companies began pulling their ad money.
March 5, 201214 yr Author So we demand apologies from people when they say or do things like this then when they do we dismiss the apology. What's the point in apologizing? I agree with your question. 90% of the people do not believe the sincerity of the apology.
March 5, 201214 yr Author He doubled down for three days and then apologized after companies began pulling their ad money. 7 companies so far.
March 5, 201214 yr It may be time for Rush to go to satellite radio. He has a large enough following that he'd be fine. I really don't care if he's fired. Much like Imus he'd be back on the radio at some point. Whether people want to admit it or not he and Hannity are more a voice for the right than anyone else.
March 5, 201214 yr Her testimony centered around the cost of contraceptives. The number of times she may choose to have sex is irrelevant since the contraceptive is usually taken daily regardless of her plans for sexual activity that day. She may not "get lucky" for the entire month but she would still take the contraceptives. Rush stated that since it was paid for by tax dollars that the young lady should be forced to post her sexual activity videos online so we can get something for our money. He's using this lady as a red herring. Debate the subject all day long as it needs to be debated. Do NOT kill one of the messengers. Sold!
March 5, 201214 yr No one is saying they want something for nothing. Again...we want insurance (which most of us pay for) to provide coverage for a medicine many women need, for various reasons. It's ridiculous that insurance covers Viagra because erectile dysfunction is considerdra medical condition. But for women who need to take the pill, the answer is to just stop having sex if they don't want to pay for it. Apparently medicine that has anything at all to do with sex is only important if a man can't get it up. As long as he can, it's all up to the woman to figure out how keep him from getting her pregnant....fully funded by herself. Because we wouldn't want to have a nation of female ****s. Only enough to satisfy the men who can get it up with or without their insured medical miracle medicines. I think it's ridiculous that insurance companies cover either. The insurance companies should on a company by company basis decide what they cover and what they don't.
March 5, 201214 yr A person is called this, or a female? I've seldom heard a male called that in any serious manner. I said person for a reason.
