February 5, 201214 yr I'm with EZ on this one. Quick timeout. Tell the officials you're just getting a sub in and move on with the game. SC would not have had a problem with it. Reward the kid.I do not think it was an issue one way or the other. And if that is the debate of the game, things are good for me

Reward the kid.Plus you want to get as much of your rotation out as possible to prevent any injury while up 40+ points. I was a BDubs mentioning it and some guy next to me was talking up Davis and a possible triple double, and 30 seconds later Davis went down in which COULD have been a very nasty injury. Any injury is bad, but not as bad as one when you already had the game well in hand. It wasn't until Davis had this fall, at the 4:30 mark gvie or take a few seconds, that Cal thought it would be a good idea to take him out. Happened last year in the SEC tourney, I was at the same place talking about it, then two UK players go down hard very late in the game before Cal decided he needed to get them out, if I am not mistaken one of the players was Knight and he was "questionable" until just before game time. The rest of the bench should have been in around the 9 or 10 minute mark while up 40+, plus with what Cal has stated both publicly and private in the recent past about certain players, one would think he would have done this. But back to the game, as someone else mentioned, I sure hope they have a couple of games close at the end, or where they have to come from a few points down. You need a few of those before the tourney starts.
February 5, 201214 yr I do not think it was an issue one way or the other. And if that is the debate of the game, things are good for me Thinking the same. If you have to have something to complain about, then that is as good as any, I guess. :ohbrother:
February 6, 201214 yr Best effort by a UK team in the last several years!! Calipari teams always play great defense. His UK teams have been excellent. But this team with Davis in the middle is taking it to an even higher level.
February 6, 201214 yr Thinking the same. If you have to have something to complain about, then that is as good as any, I guess. :ohbrother: Nobody was complaining merely wondering why he couldn't let the kid get into the game for a few minutes. Had that been your son you would have most certainly been complaining.

February 6, 201214 yr The clock never stopped for the last 4+ minutes? How many times does that happen?
February 6, 201214 yr The clock never stopped for the last 4+ minutes? How many times does that happen?Seldom. I think it was around the 5 1/2 minute mark when he was sent over to sub in and the game just did not stop.
February 6, 201214 yr Seldom. I think it was around the 5 1/2 minute mark when he was sent over to sub in and the game just did not stop. Wow. Isn't there usually a TV TO around the 4 minute mark? Oh well I didn't see the game, but I just don't see it as a big deal.
February 6, 201214 yr Wow. Isn't there usually a TV TO around the 4 minute mark? Oh well I didn't see the game, but I just don't see it as a big deal. There's a TV timeout at the under 4 mark. But there was no dead ball for said TV timeout to happen. I don't believe I've ever seen that before.
February 6, 201214 yr Can't really find much to complain about in this game. The Cats look to be clicking on all cylinders right now. I hope Terrance Jones keeps bringing the fire and tenacity that he's been showing lately!
February 6, 201214 yr If I had a son that was good enough to go to UK for free, I wouldn't complain one bit. Agreed.

Maybe. Don't know how I'd react. I've never had the opportunity to be in that position. I know for most people looking to send their kids to Kentucky, though, it's a non-issue. I'm relatively sure Polson didn't complain and showed up for practice happy to contribute.
