Barker has quite a few schools looking at him.. The kid is 16 years old I believe, and will continue to grow and mature as a player, and as a young man.. Expect a lot of noise to be made this year in Hebron, Barker has several weapons at his disposal, thus drawing more attention to him. He will play D1 (if he so chooses)...

 

And as far as a player choosing to play at Thomas More, or Georgetown.. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. If I am not mistaken both programs are year in and year out in the hunt for a national title in their respective divisions (D3 & NAIA). Nothing wrong with a kid wanting the opportunity to win a ring. Not to mention both schools are stellar academic institutions. Can't play ball forever, education is something that can never be taken away..

 

If I were Drew I wouldn't buy into the "He will play D1" just yet. He certainly has a good chance and some top 20 schools are showing a lot of interest but it's still just interest. Knowing #7 I bet he's realizing that now he's competing against some major talent and needs to raise his level of performance and effort.

I agree Bir and Barker top of the list in NKY, I was trying to say as much as Holy Cross throws the ball and by evidence of Arlinghaus at Lou and Fuller who will play somewhere at next level, whoever is H.C qb will put up stats and get college looks. Who is going to be Scott QB next year? Are they going to be improved ??

I am looking forward to seeing Barker in action. He obviously has talent and he has the size recruiters want. Last year, he was much better as a runner than a passer IMO. I expect the passing to take a big step forward this season.

You are correct sir. I think we might see something very special come out of Taylor Mill this year if Mr. Osbourne produces well enough.

His passing got better, as expected, as the year progressed. I expect his accuracy to be better this season.

Scott's class of 2014 is an outstanding class as they went undefeated as freshman. Campbell is a great coach and teacher. Hopefully the Eagles can live up to their potential and make some noise this year and next.

Scott's 2014 class actually lost its very first game against Simon Kenton their Fresh. year. They didn't really have the QB position sorted out at that time. Osbourne eventually took over and they didn't lose again that season. Lots of talent with varsity experience in that class. The next 2 years should be exciting for Scott.

I don't remember hearing about Scott's 2014 class when they were frosh. Memory says the top teams were Highlands, CCH, maybe Ryle. Did they beat those teams? Or did they play in a different division?

Yep, they won the small school division. I think they beat NCC in the championship, and also beat Beechwood that year. Lots of talent in the skill positions, still not alot of size on either side of the ball upfront.

They play small school because of low numbers. Typically their freshman team has 20 or less. They would have matched up pretty good against most of the big schools that year. Probably wouldn't have won it, but would have been competitive. Remember, Beechwood and NCC typically hold their own, and win games against bigger schools most years.
