Who did he beat out? Chad replaced a kid in Patrick Bustle that was 7 games into his second season as a starter, and promptly LED his team to the state championship. If I remember SK was at or below .500 when Chad stepped in. QB is about more than just a strong arm, its about leadership. You threw up errant and misleading stats to support your case, then when called out you mention that he beat out a senior? I hope Brennan improves and his team learns to play hard for him, but to compare him to Chad right now as a QB is irrational.

I would like to comment that my prior post is in NO WAY meant as derogatory toward Brennan. I don't know him, only seen him play a couple times, and not qualified to make any judgmental comments on him. I was, and am, a huge fan of Chad Lawrence. Kid was one of the best leaders I have seen on the field, and IMO had he been blessed with the body of a Zeke Pike or Pat Towles he too would be playing D1 football right now.

Really? Here is Kuntz and Lawrence's stats from starting their first season. Kuntz could become a better passer.

 

Kuntz 1065 yards 106 yards a game 4 touchdowns 8 ints

Lawrence 401 yards 26 yards a game 3 touchdowns 3 ints

Pinkleton is a nice athlete and a good kid, coach Marksberry did what he thought was going to be beneficial to the team in the long run, I can appreciate that, but to suggest comparisons at this stage of the game are dillusional at best.

Barker is a Big kid, is there any video on him as i doubt I will ever venture to a Cougar game bit would like to see him in action.

The games I've been to he was announced at 6'4. I saw a picture of him and Towles at an awards ceremony. PT seemed to be about 1 to inches taller.

I'm surprised the Brossart faithful aren't on here touting there next in line stud Qb.

 

If it goes as planned the the next mustang qb will be Casey Pelgen. He started varsity corner last year and was the JV QB. Had a very solid 6 quarters of football (3 passing tds, 2 rushing) last year before suffering a broken collar bone in week two.

 

Not quite a stud yet, but has good size about 6'3/175. Lots of upside.
