Jimmy Dykesisms

With Mr. "Violent Cuts" himself calling the UK game AGAIN, I got to thinking about some of his worst sayings.

"Violent Cuts" and "Getting to the nail", are two that really annoy me.

What are some other good or bad Dykesisms.

"High School Harry" pass

"Rim Run"

Looks like tonight will be about Miller getting to the SEC logo in the paint...

That's right. partner.

The bad shot bone is always connected to the bad transition defense bone.

"Clip the hip" was a big one tonight

Since ESPN's stat line blows, I used Yahoo's and was thankfully able to keep the sound down. Enjoyed the game immensely.

ATO. After time out.

Socks on the blocks

Btw, today was Jarnell Stokes 7th collegiate practice. Maybe he has learned to stretch by now.

My favorite announcer quote about Stokes:

"Wow, he has size 20 shoes. Where do you find size 20 shoes for a high school kid?"

My answer: "Probably at the same shoe store where you find size 20 shoes for adults."

I understand everyone's frustration but also understand why he does the UK games like this. Half of the UK fans likely didn't go to college, probably half the other half didn't graduate college. The guy uses terms and explinations that are rather easy to follow; essentially ESPN thinks at least 75% of all UK fans comprehend basketball announcers at about a 12th grade level.....
