I was watching it on tv and had the benefit of rewinding the play multiple times. The pass was a bit behind the receiver so I do not think he got the benefit of the doubt. Had it been out in front of him, he probably would have gotten the call because more contact would have been initiated. Then again it may have given Mayfield a better play on the ball. Was it interference? Most likely yes. But given the circumstance, the fact it was a "bang, bang" type play, I was good letting the play go without much argument because it was a tough call to make.

I was watching it live on tv. It did not appear to hit a Mayfield defender.

I really hope it was not pass interference, however, just like Beechwood's coach said, you can't pin the whole game on that one call or no call. I was on the sideline and trust me there were plays that Beechwood got away with some penalties that should have been called. I'm sure Mayfield got away with some to. I am willing to bet that no referee on the field wanted to make a call that was bad, or no call, that cost either team the game. These officials are rated after games and if they want to continue to get the big games they want to call as perfect of a game as they can.

Toothpick is a big Mayfield fan and claims to be big high school football fan. So you tell me he doesn't know the names for the key players of the opposition? He is trying to get another dig in and he is playing most of you guys!

I also heard one official was also head postmaster of the Mayfield post office. and another one was running for city council. Why does it matter where the officials were from? Does anyone believe in football, today, there are actually officials that would intentionally cheat a team based on location?

I think duke42 is a Beechwood fan so he may be showing his disappointment that Beechwood didn't get it done, but I agree that isn't the way to do it. I am having a hard time remembering a more disappointing loss.

Hmmm......how can I get in a good shot at all the Beechwood folks. I really want to get them especially right now while they are in pain. Oh I got it, misspell a players name, that will really e a great way to get them. Especially if it is a name of a player that is unusual. As a Tiger super fan, I must say I wanted Beechwood to win. However, I cannot deny the fact that the game against Mayfield was "fair and square". Unfortunately, the tigers will have to wait at least another year before they can play anyone. It would have been nice to have another week but I do hope that Mayfield takes the state title. On another note I would like to thank Mayfield for their hospitality. Great season tigers! Can't wait to watch Nussbaum's (this is the correct way to spell his name) senior year!

In regards to the last drive's penalties, whether they were wrong or right does not change the scoreboard in Beechwood's favor. That was a fair fight, Beechwood vs. Mayfield. Mayfield won, accept it...

After a year and some people are still bitter that their son gets kicked off the 2010 team. It isn't this class that thought they were bigger than the program and decided to not attend practice. Grow up!
