November 19, 201114 yr Hysterical... http://thebiglead.com/index.php/2011/11/19/lee-corso-dropped-an-f-bomb-on-gameday/
November 19, 201114 yr In the spirit of the whole, hilarious. I saw his retraction and apology and thought it was totally unnecessary. I though the way he used the F bomb was totally acceptable these days.
November 19, 201114 yr He needs to be fired, TODAY! As a young child I loved football and I'm sure there were many young kids watching Corso pick the team, there is a camera in front of you and you have been doing this act for many years. He needs to be let go, what is this nation turning to? Chris/Kirk were trying to help the situation, but I bet he is in trouble. He apolized afew hours later, and that was quick, I wonder why? He is an announcer, thats his job. He has failed. If you people on here think its ok, and so forth, why the quick apology? It was wrong, and sad, and classless, I'll answer for you.
November 19, 201114 yr It's not okay, but it's just a mistake. This has been three of the worse weeks in college sports history, an F-bomb by an announcer is small potatoes.

The quick apology was for people who were going to overreact. He made a harmless mistake. He apologized. NBD.

November 20, 201114 yr The quick apology was for people who were going to overreact. He made a harmless mistake. He apologized. NBD. Certainly nobody on here would do that!?
November 20, 201114 yr When I first found out I thought he said something else then I you tubed it and had a good laugh.
November 20, 201114 yr The quick apology was for people who were going to overreact. He made a harmless mistake. He apologized. NBD. I saw a tweet today that said ESPN ran comments on the "bottom line" for a week about "child anal rape at Penn State" with no concern, but then one F-bomb (which by the way, was much more audible when I rewound it than the first time) and the whole world blows up.

Seems like priorities might have been backwards. Then again, we're talking about a society that has weird hang-ups about sex, yet has no problem showing massive body counts in prime-time TV. Our entire society's priorities are whacked out.
November 20, 201114 yr Doesn't someone have to draw a line somewhere, or do we all just let anything and everything go. As for me, I'll be "predictable" and over react. In other words, Ill draw a line. We can say, "oh no big deal" then we wonder why a kid uses the same word on facebook toward Highlands. (see football forum) To have a moral compass, character, respect and sense of what is appropriate is not old fashioned, it is the very thing that keeps society from imploding. Its called self governing. If we think that self governing is somehow over reacting or inappropriate, we as a nation, are in real trouble.

Using the F word IMO does not have anything to do with morals or character. Times change. People used to think the "d word" was really bad. Now it's accepted. Secondly, if ESPN fires him I'm cool with that. Why? It's their business. They get to make the rules. They have to make a decision - will firing hurt us or help us. This is one of those issues that doesn't make it very high on my list of things that concern me and, at the same time, I get where people like you are coming from. We just disagree.
