Corso drops an "F-Bomb" on Gameday.....

Some people are too careless with that word. I was at the UK-Ole Miss football game and there were 3 guys, who looked to be about 20, that used that word in what seemed like every sentence they spoke, and and in loud fashion. What bothered me was a man and with a young girl, I assume his daughter (looked to be around 8 years old) were sitting directly behind them.

That's just flat out rude and disrespectful to use that language in front of kids.

I agree 100%. I have two younger kids and they have heard the word. I very seldom use it and I don't remember ever saying it in front of them but I can not control everything and they have heard it. When they overhear it somewhere, I let it go. If there is a group using it every other word, I will butt in and ask them to quit. Most the time, people are good about it but I have had a few problems.

I agree wholeheartedly.

Nor former VP Cheney using it in the Senate once.

I find it a sad commentary on all accounts, that we are moving it into the category of "acceptable." I don't mind people making mistakes and apologizing for them. But to say that it is okay, well...I was raised better than that, I guess.

I would agree here as well. It's not ideal, but it was obviously a mistake. I'm not sure anything needs to happen other than ESPN letting Corso know that it is not acceptable and there will be consequences if it happens again. At this point, for one slip, that's good enough for me.

I think the problem here isn't Corso. The problem is with the the production. I thought there was always a delay these things for these types of mistakes. Is there not?

Either way, hilarious.

I can emphatize with him. I let the F-bomb slip two or three times...every hour. :D

You and me both. :thumb:

I've tried to fight this argument on here several times in the past. Why is "foul language" so bad? Who decides what words we aren't allowed to say?

From post #6 by Alabama Larry- He needs to be fired, TODAY!

From post #29, also by Alabama Larry-He should not be fired.

So, which one is it? I personally see firing him as being way overboard.

I spoke with family members and said firing might be too stern, but I also said why did he say I'm sorry so quick? The reason I changed was "he thought there was a delay"... and his health issues. You satisfied? This thread is not about me, I know my 4 sons never heard that word in our home from their parents...ever. Now, they might have heard some stuff around some Bama games... I get bashed on here but no one replied to my reasons they just bash.

I'll ask them again, How long has Lee been doing the "Mascot thing"?

How long has he been speaking on TV?

He gets riled up over SMU/Houston?

He say the word over that? C'mon people. Its not OK.

^He screwed up AL. Have you ever screwed up? If so, I hope you expect to be scrutinized, criticized, and have people call for you to be fired over it.

People don't bash you AL, I know you may not believe it, but people on here are not out to get you. People don't agree with what you post. If they disagree with what you post, that's what a message board is around for. For people who disagree with you to say so.

You ask Cats if he's judging, but you're doing the same exact thing you're criticizing him for. You're judging Corso. You seem to think he is perfect and intentionally did it.

It all comes down to moral character on this one... and I'm not questioning anyone's on here. Mine's not the best, but I know that one person who's posting on this doesn't use that language. In fact, if I've heard them drop the f-bomb I don't remember it.

You are wrong, I know that there a lot of folks on here who doesn't use that "language" in their lives.

Ephesians 4:29 Colossians 4:6 3:8 I have more but this is not a religion thread and might make someone upset about posting verses to prove a point for the poster.

Try to ignore. I used to get so worked up over the hypocrisy in his posts, but I learned to just not read them. Keeps my blood pressure down. But sometimes I just can't resist...

Is that the pot calling the kettle......

Quit acting like that Larry. IMO it is a little overboard to act like this is the worst thing to hit ESPN. That is all I said. I don't have some kind of conspiracy against you.

Just pointing out some facts, "the worst thing to hit ESPN" is your words not mine, A lot of folks would lose their jobs saying this in front of TV land, but its Lee and like I stated he gets a bye due to his health and the delay thing. He knew what he was doing. Pretend his Preacher is sitting next to him...

We get it AL, you're holier than everyone. He said a bad word, get over it.

^My question is, why is it a bad word? Who one day decided that saying the "F word" was so taboo?

No argument. However, it's no different than the mic coming on during a game and hearing it from the players or coaches. I heard it twice today and didn't watch a ton of football. Not saying either is right but it isn't a big deal, IMO.

Crash, not saying its not right but for a coach/player to say it in a heat of the moment for them and Lee sitting there knowing full well there are cameras, might be a little different.
