Finally got some balls down the field. Didn't go for 2, could have cut it to a 1 score if they got it and a field goal later in the game, instead of having to go for a TD with about 5 min left. A twitter wrote a great idea. The best two offensive players for UK have been on the bench for most of the year(Smith and Williams). That is nothing but coaching. That would have made it 28-17, or am I misunderstanding what you're saying?

I'm not certain if this is what he was thinking (and it wouldn't have made it one score), but I do think you should go for two because then it could conceivably be a two score game with one of them being a field goal if they cut it to 11. Since it was 12, that meant they had to get two TDs. The FG would have been in play on the late failed fourth down conversion had they done that. As for the rest of it, for the love of God stick with Smith.

And since Kentucky had shown an ability to make field goals, you have to give yourself the chance to reach that. And nobody in the world thought Kentucky could get two touchdowns.
October 30, 201114 yr Smith showed poise in the pocket and had good touch on his throws. Williams is UK's best back at this time, not sure why the coaches have not seen it, who else is over on the sidelines that might help, UK desperately needs a pass rusher and maybe a DB or two.

October 30, 201114 yr They still suck. :thumb: I thought Joker had finally broken out of his "what is the most safe, boring play call I can make?" mentality with the fake punt. He then reassured me that nothing had changed on every play for the rest of the game. At least Smith and Roark looked good. Williams didn't look bad either. Sadly, the secondary looked LOST for a lot of the game.

Also Roark said he had been working with Max Smith after practice, catching balls. He said that may have contributed to all their connection. Joker disagreed with that saying, it wasn't about Smith having more touch on the ball or chemistry with Roark. He was just in the right place at the right time. I'm beginning to think this has been an issue on the UK Staff. Newton or Smith. Is it the same with the players, I don't know. Thoughts?

He's run off 2 QB's proving it.
