October 30, 201114 yr I think it has been obvious the last two years that Newton has been Joker's choice after Hartline all along. Perish the thought! It must be the PRACTICE! We don't see the practices! If Newton looks that bad in the game it must be because everyone else looks so bad in practice!
October 30, 201114 yr I think it's plain as day that Newton is Jokers guy no matter what. He's run off 2 QB's proving it. I agree, but if Sanders wants Smith to start along with some of the players then could this be part of the TEAM issues? There is something else with the demeanor and attitude with this bunch. And I understand that there is not much talent on the team, but I think there is more going on.

All we heard about was how good he was in practice and it never translated to the game. I'm not saying practice isn't important, but as Allen Iverson would say, "We're talking 'bout practice!" Some guys are practice players, some are gamers.
October 30, 201114 yr Most significant thing I saw all night was that Matt Roark actually caught a ball! I mean wow, didn't see that coming. Whatever the new dropped passes punishment Tee implemented in practice gets the job done obviously. He must have them scared to death to drop the football if even Matt Roark is going off for ten catches. I'd hate to know what that punishment is.

I have been saying all year that Newton throws a hard wobbly ball that is hard to catch. Think about it, the guys didn't drop balls thrown by Hartline and now Smith.

October 31, 201114 yr Randy Sanders has been the sacrificial lamb before in his coaching career. I think he is attempting to protect himself, but it might be too late. With a season like this one is about to be, there will be staff changes and I am thinking Joker might be taking over the offense himself. It is a little know fact that Joker called the plays in the second half of the Central Michigan game. Doesn't quite put Randy Sanders in the comfort seat, does it?
