I know the Colonels are putting up big numbers offensively but dont underestimate the Birds defense. They are very fast and aggressive. The smart play would obviously be to establish the run with Gray and keep it out of Towles hands. However, if the Birds get up by a couple scores early you have to go to the air and the Birds im sure will pin their ears back and go after Bir. I expect alot of blitzing by Weinrich to keep Bir offbalance. The Bruns twins are very tough to stop, I expect huge games from them.

This is not how I want it to turn out but it is how I think it will turn out. :irked:

Highlands D is not the Beechwood D. Gray gets less than 100 yards against the Birds, and the D-Backs will have a field day if CCHS has to turn to their air game.

 

Cov. Cath. likes to use the quick short sideline passes against their opponents, with a lot of success. If THE BIRDS give them too much room, Cov. Cath. will 8 - 10 yards their way down the field, or break it for a bigger gain. I hope Dale plays his DB's closer to the LOS to prevent this from happening. He's had better sucess against their passing when he defends this way. GO BIRDS!:thumb:

Highlands speed will kill. They fly to the ball wherever it is. The Birds offense is too much for CCH too. Birds 56 - CCH 17.

My guess is CovCath will try and control the tempo and clock with their running game. Passing imo will not be in their best interest. Too dangerous and stops the clock and gives HHS more time to put scores up on the board. Highlands is explosive enough to score on any given play at any given time in this game so with that said, I will go with Highlands 35-10.

I will pick the Birds in this match up.IMO,Highlands has alot of skilled level position support and it will be interesting to see if the Colonels can adjust and bottom line just keep up? Should be a great game in Park Hills but could easily be a romp for the Birds or 2 point win for Colonels. Bottom Line, Its is CovCath versus Highlands.

I believe this is more of an interesting game than many are thinking. I believe that the Birds win, but closer than a lot of others are saying; I'm thinking by somewhere between 7 and 14.

I know it was a while ago, but in '06 people on here were saying the same stuff. I doubt the HHS players think much about the past and are worried about their current situation.
